LLB. Your comment about the cost to the company being approx 25% less at the current time and so is a benefit to shareholders is rather obtuse. If there is any benefit to shareholders it is very long term and indeed minimal.

It was impossible not to notice that Marc specifically said though the company were going to pay the dividend in dollars it would still be the equivalent to 7p. That sounded good to a novice investor, but IMO it was a slight of hand. Indeed, it is not in line with the usual procedure for companies which declare their dividends in dollars which are then converted into sterling on a given date. OK, in that scenario shareholders may benefit or suffer depending on the exchange movements between the declaration date and conversion date, but at least the company is paying out a given percentage of its profits to its shareholders.

#Cocopops, the next immediately accretive royalty could be anything, but now we have S32 as a partner / shareholder and investor, I would not be at all surprised if we could shoehorn ourselves into 1 of their currently active and paying ones as they are clearly open to divestments..

We can also scale ourselves into Piaui over time, it does not have to be straight in with a +USD70M full size investment, they will be lining up their funding package now, so we can ramp into that as well..

6 payments of USD9M over 18 months starting in October to S32 for a total of USD55M

We reduced our debt by USD70M in H1 stand alone, so deduct the USD18M for S32 and we could still reduce debt another c50M in H2-2022, which would see us scratch (20M debt/20M cash) or maybe net cash for year end at a push..

#johnrxx99 I liked our name. Pity. but you know what corporate marketeers believe/think. More worried that the update clearly signals the good news is firmly in the rear view mirror for a while, without an accretive new deal. That and the recent dilution means investor reward for the new flat dividend policy will be a drop in the share price. Of course there are those who will say it presents a buying opportunity.

The name change makes sense. Hopefully it will be more relevant, which in turn should attract more investors.

I'm wondering what the divi investors will make of it.

For the life of me I can’t see the broker £3.00 share valuation being achieved, in fact I think anything over £2.00 will be good. The $64,000 question in 2023/2024 then becomes … what price the share will drop to/stabilise at over the next two years until Incoa/Piaui start to kick-in. Now we have moved from a dividend play to a growth company the heat is on to find more deals (at exactly the wrong moment) … or else IMHO the share price will fall. Of course there is now no dividend growth to keep investors interested. Scratching my head to see what next … the change in strategy threw me (that’s not to say I’m criticising it, just not sure what will happen as we try to grow).

#TheDeacon … hopefully, given the Kestrel news, we won’t see such a significant drop-off in income now. For the life of me I can’t see how the new Berenberg target of £3 can be anywhere near realistic from where we are now at £1.50 … given that there will be at the very least a small drop in income in the short to medium term and there is no news on deals that they could have used to base their assessment upon and we won’t be tempting dividend investors. I am happy to hold and believe in the space that we are in but I am not sure that we will see full value in the share price in the foreseeable future.🤔 9300;

Lets see what they say about the way forward tommorow at the investor presentation.Short term declines in commodity prices to be expected with china lockdown are to be expected.However i fully expect kestrel to pay the debt and some.The only fly in the ointment is how do they replace such a explosive royalty?After kestrel the likely outcome is a debt free company with cashflows that stretch well into the future that can support a dividend of 7/8 pence but i doubt earnings will ever reach the levels we are seeing now.I dont trade as i am hopeless at it and having bought well 7%dividend is fine with me.Just not sure many income investors would buy at circa 200 for a 7p dividend.As always GLA DYOR and wtfdik
