Nice AGM statement. 38% more CPO and 50% better selling prices over H1 2007 after tax will give stonking H1 figures. I'm going for 53c compared to last years 24.4c. Ignore the volatility, this is one to hold and forget in your pension..only 39K ha producing today, increasing to over 130K ha in 10 years. Imagine if this was an oil company with tripling of reserves and production over the next 10 years, self funding too means no dilution, sustainable and growing dividend, and no dusters.. and with the long term CPO prices trend only going one way like oil..

Indeed it is. I'm looking to add, but having seen so many of my other holdings dive, it's difficult to know when best to buy. Why pay more than necessary?

Beginning to look shakier - just like everywhere else. Shame, the resilience was good for a while and the share price will no doubt be fine in the medium to long term.

Sash, do you like T/A? What do you think is happening with this one?

I'm reckoning if we are lucky it will continue to range between 550 and 600,but it could happily spike to 700 or 450 for no particular reason.

Lucky you WJC..when the black boxes mess around like this, they always shut down the online buy trading limits. Damn, I only managed a few at 520.

Always knew the Indo gov couldnt use this export tax without hurting their primary export..this is potentially good news for producers.

MACD, which stands for Moving Average Convergence / Divergence, is a technical analysis indicator created by Gerald Appel in the 1960s. It shows the difference between a fast and slow exponential moving average (EMA) of closing prices. During the 1980's MACD proved to be a valuable tool for any trader. With the emergence of computerized analysis, it has become highly unreliable in the modern era, and standard MACD based trade execution now produces a greater distribution of losing trades.

AEP biggest faller on LSE at moment, down 16% - volume only 1,300 shares. Any particular reason for dramatic change in the share price ?

MACD still heading down, needs to get to neutral before AEP is out of the woods.

It was a retirement ( "Our finance director, Mr Barnes, retired on 30 April 2008." ) so presumably known about prior to three days ahead of the event. I agree that you would expect some kind of credit but I wouldn't attach too much significance to a departure due to retirement. Mr Barnes retains 186,000 shares.

"R O B Barnes (Financial director, aged 63) – appointed 10 July 1989 retired on 30 April 2008 Chartered Accountant; director of The Chillington Corporation Plc from 1986 to 1989".

Re the ANNUAL REPORT......was struck by the references to the departure of the Finance Director - the rather curt reference to 'Mr Barnes'; and the absence of the usual remarks about 'contribution to the company'....(contrast with the fullsome remarks made re the retiring non-execs (also given their full names)). Considering his somewhat hasty departure - 3 days notice ).
All rather strange.

Good for the future - hopefully, the development will be sympathetically executed.
