Pogue - it’s up across the board definitely - all manner of reasons given of course individual to each co/raise, what I was more interested in is that retail are Increasingly being offered these placings. Does that mean companies and brokers etc are seeing the value in getting retail on board? Or that they increasingly need retail to take up the slack? You could read the trend a number of ways.

If you're a City broker it's in your interest to go around all your clients telling them a plausible story about how you think the City is going to 'dry up' for fundings in 3-6 months time due to 'Second Wave' or some b.s.

Then you get your client to place and take your thieving 7-10% commission.

Total utter spivs and con artists.

Of course in 3-6 months they'll be back out telling their clients the 'Second Wave' is probably just delayed so best to get a funding away now ... rinse and repeat

Alastair Smith is particularly gullible.

(Of course they don't sell that story to the punters buying the stock. To them it's "wow check out this amazing growth story... which you can buy at a massive discount to the market because we're legging over the muppet Management")

I like the sound of NASDAQ listing for AVCT that will put the share price into the stratosphere if that happens. Miles MacNulty does seem to believe its on the cards so would assume he knows more than most.

I missed that post of yours, so far its only my CV19 stocks that have had placings interesting that is up across the board. What are the other companies claiming the cash is for mainly or is it very mixed?

stoop I own PYC

Have owned since the November 2017 Merck KGaA RNS

I think getting a second major Pharma on board concurrently would be a major signal of its tech becoming more mainstream

A massive growth market to drive into

Pharmas spend $180bn a year on R&D

They will increasingly outsource certain R&D

PYC are one of very few leaders and specialists in in-silico / modelling and simulation

The $SDGR Schrodinger IPO in US is waking people up to this new sector

When you’ve got brokers, and more to the point clients, of TP, Zeus and FCAP it’s probably not too surprising the word got out...

pogue - the trend is not confined to cv-19 stocks, placings are up across the board - I mentioned this a few days ago, what I find as interesting is that Primary Bid is now being utilized far more and for far bigger companies than a year or two ago.

Myles McNulty isn't too impressed with the pre placing dealings in avct !

placing at 120p to raise £45m.

"This has been one of the worst episodes of insider dealing I have ever witnessed on the LSE.

I imagine that mgmt. is sick of it, and that a transfer to (or, at the minimum, a dual listing on) NASDAQ will be expedited. "

So we now have another trend in the CV19 bingo world, placings, if your CV19 play has not had a placing yet clearly it will soon. ORPH,REAT,MPH,AVCT who is next?

Not too late, busting into aths is often the best time to buy. XPP was daft earlier - great, really great, TU and share price didn't respond for 30 minutes. What a gift

Well done on buying XPP mad. It was one of the first shares I ever bought almost 20 years ago and what a share it has been for me. Amazingly solid company, adroit board, good communication, got it all really. Richard Beddards a holder and has written many good research pieces over the years. It is a hold forever share for me.

Pretty damn sure that much of the interest in AVCT placing is stock being bought back from sales/shorts higher up. There is huge interest in the institutional placing, I assume there will be the same in the Primary Bid offering.

Folks, to be honest, the noises round AVCT were pretty loud so can’t really take credit for ‘hunch’....!
