Yes.
If you put 10 yr aside and focus on the 6-mnth to 3yr period, where the inversion is happening; tad over 0.5% lower bond y. for 3yr bond v 6 mnth:
1 interpretation is that forecasts 2 rate cuts by Fed + spare.
Arguably 3 cuts [of 0.25%] as the 'neutral' rate needs to rise over time, in line with inflation, however modest it may be or be forecast to be. i.e. even with a flat curve, the 'real' rate is falling to extent the inflation index is rising.

Also suggests recession within that period; early-mid 2020 going on to early 2022 - within when it most likely to happen.

There is opinion that 'It's different this time' [because of monetary distortions, US and Globally] but the message is getting harder to ignore....pressure on Fed to cut grows.

AVCT could be a life changer Wan, in more ways than one - but yes there's a long way to go yet. My expectation would be for it to get taken out by one of the big boys though - i'd settle for a 10 bagger :)

German yield curve -ve over 6 months to 3 years [graph not well focused but can see well enough]:

-ve Bundesbank rates becoming more -ve is the louder canary there.

Still decidedly rising curve in China; little flattening over year.

Interesting.
All manner of stimuli still ongoing/potential there.
Efficacy...another matter.

#2sporrons.. what does it tell us if the 10 year yield is lower than the 3 month..? and now the 6/12 month too. My interpretation is a 10 year is only worth something today to get that yield if interest rates are heading south going forward, and you do that when the sh*t hits the fan to stimulate growth .. recession..

Bloomberg are reporting Morgan Stanley quoting ' recession within a year if trade war continues'...

USD headroom to fight off a recession - 2.5% of 'magic bullets'
UK - 0.5% or next to nothing
Europe - next to nothing or negative
Japan - negative

Spot POG USD 1310

Harbinger of Recession:

What a difference a month makes.
Much of the inversion came about just in past week.

And that's the US.
Europe+Japan are already pretty much static and monetary toolbox depleted.

Yes, with climate change the future wars about water will probably take place in the Middle East and the Indian continent. Diversion of rivers and the like.
In Chile all the water has been sold off to big Co,s. It is a strange wold we live in.

I mentioned Graphine a while back. When and if they sort it out the they can change
sea water and filter the salt out and make fresh water but I think that is a while away.
Wan there ain't anything better then Gold for the moment. Let's see what tomorrow bring for AAZ.

It's a question of market perception. SPA are perceived to be the experts - that they couldn't forecast the outcome of Liverpool vs Accrington Stanley is irrelevant.

The case for change is unaltered.

Wan,no problem with my utube vids. I like watching Ray Dalio. He is a very smart guy.

As far as Gold, it has been used since time immortal as a currency because of it's shine and scarcity. I think the Western world culture has lost the shine for this metal but the Eastern people have not. The Indians,Chines, etc, etc, all adore it and give it as at weddings gift, also at religious festivals etc. It is bread in their culture. It can always be used to raise money in hard times. A bit of an Insurance.

Lately many Central Banks across the world have started to buy Gold. The question is as to why?? It is still used as a hedge. World recession can kick in at any time !!
It has averaged around 9/10 years a market crash, looking at the FTSE chart. The $64 question is when is the next one going to come? In the next year or two IMO.
Venezuela,Argentina,Turkish, paper money have all lost big time. I spoke to a bank manager when I was in North Cyprus. He was prepared to pay me just over 20% interest if I put my money into Turkish TL account.
Eeeer,NO,I would sooner hold Gold mining shares and/or physical Gold. The supply of Gold has diminished, as mankind has been mining it for a long time. I don't know the average ounce mining cost across the world, it may be $800/900. I will have to check that.
So with AAZ we are in a good place. Low cost Gold,Silver and Copper producer.
The idea is to try and preserve your wealth to the best of your ability.
I personally keep little cash in the banks.
