25/4/2022 09:22 | Anglo American PLC said Monday that a Chilean environmental watchdog has recommended that the permitting application for the Los Bronces Integrated Project in Chile be rejected. The South African miner said the project received confirmation from Chile's Environmental Assessment Service Regulator (SEA) that the application met all required environmental criteria, but that the SEA alleged there was a lack of information in relation to public health risks. Anglo American said it believes it provided all appropriate information throughout the evaluation process and added that a decision on the project's permit application by the SEA is expected to come next week. The company has left its copper production guidance for 2022 and 2023 unchanged. 22/4/2022 12:52 | OK point taken, apologies. What I meant was er..... the average bottom of the normal trading range. Does that make sense? Or what I am trying to imply is that considering the divi., the current share price drop is a bit over done! I'll get my coat! | eggbaconandbubble
22/4/2022 12:33 | I don't understand this bit 'will put a bottom to the share price which I think will be somewhat higher than the current one!' Implying the bottom will be higher than the current sp, but then the bottom would surely be now... | zorija
22/4/2022 11:19 | The divi is so well covered that there is little chance of that being reduced. Ergo a great share to buy now for income and that in turn will put a bottom to the share price which I think will be somewhat higher than the current one! AAL may even increase divi to bolster the share price Wishful thinking? Maybe! | eggbaconandbubble

21/4/2022 11:37 | Sogoesit, TGA must be the best bet for coal in portfolio, TGA is going to be £30 IMO by late summer. | turvart
21/4/2022 11:24 | Costs must be up on Energy inputs. The way to balance that would be to hold coal in the portfolio... But no, political irrationality held sway over economic rationality and the balancing act was divested. Similarly with BHP x 2 (Oil & Coal). Still, an investor can hedge those risks themselves, not so? | sogoesit
21/4/2022 11:22 | I just picked up another 100 shares @ 3667, bargain area IMO, all the quarterly reports seem down with miners, your probably find the PE ratio's will increase across the mining sector because mining stocks are going one way and that's higher. | turvart

21/4/2022 08:27 | Anglo American Platinum Ltd. on Thursday lowered production guidance for 2022 after its operations were hurt by heavy rainfall in the first quarter. The South African miner revised its refined production outlook to 4.0 million-4.4 million ounces of platinum group metals from 4.2 million-4.6 million previously. Unit cost per ounce has been raised to 14,000-15,000 rand ($932-$998) from the previous ZAR13,800-ZAR14,500. The company said that its total production of platinum, palladium, rhodium, iridium, ruthenium and gold fell 6% to 956,000 ounces in the first quarter compared with the immediately prior period, reflecting heavy rainfall and redirected mining into lower-grade areas. In addition, Covid-19 hampered the delivery of equipment, it said. Shares in parent group Anglo American PLC at 0730 GMT were down 6.0% at 3,795 pence.
