07/11/2018 20:07 | The only good thing to come out of today was the 600k buy at the end of the day. Should give it a good leg up tomorrow. We will know very shortly. Who knows, Maybe even tomorrow | croxonopolis
07/11/2018 16:49 | Everyone can dress it up as they like but we closed under 8p right before drilling news. Even 11p now seems a very very long way off. Cash was right to bail. This is looking like one of my worst investments this year. He bailed at 9.8 and people were saying that was premature (including me). He was bang on. Soon to know where we are either way but its a highly disappointing performance. Never thought we would see this price so close to news | croxonopolis
07/11/2018 15:19 | hope so marty. | lithological heterogeneities
07/11/2018 15:09 | Thanks LH. Don't let the bstards get you down. 11p plus change by the end of the month. | honestmarty
07/11/2018 14:22 | Some of the utterings in this Board are beyond belief | pinkfoot2
07/11/2018 14:02 | post of the day award goes to... Honestmarty: "His mention of death spiral finance was the equivalent of yelling FIRE in packed cinema, despite the attempted denial." | lithological heterogeneities
07/11/2018 13:47 | We can only hope they haven't released news as it's good and they are preparing a good RNS Recent trading points to something else and the CLN new made the market run for the hills (they care little for fine detail that DS banded about post RNS). Awful watching the price go so low, I suspect there could be bad news, hopefully I'm wrong. Either way, the lower it goes the harder the climb. Remember that | croxonopolis
07/11/2018 13:27 | I can understand not responding to every rumour, but given where were are in the drill, just a simple update would do. | honestmarty
07/11/2018 13:25 | Surely an RNS to tell us how well the drilling is going and how deep the drill bit is, in the juicy mengo hopefully, would send a great deal of confidence to the market ! Again, this is typical of the poor communication of the BOD. why on earth would a troll start a rumour like this when it could be killed in a one liner from the Fat Muppet ! Wake up David and talk to us ! | ambrose65
07/11/2018 13:08 | Croxo It is your money, and only you will bear the losses or enjoy the gains. But the current selling is just a falsely spooked market. A positive update will have this soaring. | honestmarty
07/11/2018 13:04 | It's not that. Id already mentioned I'd pay no attention to a troll. It's the trading the last few days that has got me concerned.Really concerned. Suppose we will know soon enough. | croxonopolis
07/11/2018 12:56 | Croxo, would you please drop the rope and get down off the chair FFS. There is a pathetic deramping rumour going around, and idiots have sold. The source of the rumour is a clone of the Swedish chef of the Muppets Any positive news, even just a, steady as she turns, RNS would have us up to 9p. I have used this madness to buy more. | honestmarty
07/11/2018 12:55 | Or twitter fear inducing deramp? | babbler
07/11/2018 12:36 | I just can't see this drop from 9p being anything but bad news that we don't yret know about. I suspect an after hours RNS. Either way, even a strike will see this struggle to get back to 10p. Sentiment has been killed. Cash, you made the best descion it seems. Also, in your last paragraph. Never a truer word spoken. | croxonopolis
07/11/2018 12:01 | they do have to drill through tge formation. so they may have to wait to fill log the interval and collate the data. next week for news. | money4me
07/11/2018 11:18 | Even a, move along, all progressing as expected tweet, would turn this around. Come on Fat Dave, step back from the trough, wipe the grease of your stubby little trotters, and get typing. | honestmarty
07/11/2018 11:17 | crox, That's right, bought GKP while the market was crashing in 2008 at 6.8p, sold a couple of years later not far off 2quid. Unlike the investors who bought SQZ at 3p 4p, I didn't invest millions invested but made a nice packet that set me for other investments and property ;) Always have an exit strategy because Mr Market has a nasty habit of taking back with one hand what it has given out with the other. Cash | cashandcard
07/11/2018 11:11 | I remember you well Cash from the early GKP days (posted as rayteuptetash). When I saw you bailed, I thought it might be time to jump ship too. However I decided to hold and bought a few more. I also don't see massive gains with the CLN and suspected placing news they released. Why they did this pre drill is beyond me. If they hit oil in the R1/2 and Mengo then there is money to be made and the rest is free ride. I don't see it being a meteoric rise but Im not greedy. I don't blame anyone for bailing. You do need balls of steel (or idiocy) for exploration stocks. The days of GKP rises are as you say, behind us now. I'll never forget being in there and going through that. I watched 20k turn into 200k. Most of it is tied up now or spent! It does happen, but the chances are highly against you. Never expected those kinds of rises here, more hopeful of a 30 to 50 percent rise. It seems worth the risk. However, looking where we are now, I'll consider myself lucky to get out with 10% | croxonopolis
07/11/2018 10:34 | I hate to ask the question, but are the days of holding the equity of smallcap oil co's, particularly through a drill, over? I used to invest for the thrill of a drill years back, but those days are very much over. It seems like its just simpler to speculate before activity then closeout prior to beginning of ops. Even if the result is a good one, it derisks the equity and forward prospects so its safer to actually wait for a result then invest accordingly. The moment the CLN's were announced, I was out that morning. Even with the best of intentions, they leave a horrible 'empty-pockets' wiff about them. I still expect oil to be discovered in the two upper horizons, I just don't think the equity will react the way traders expect it too with CLN's hanging over this now. Cash | cashandcard
07/11/2018 10:10 | Lack of news makes for nerves. I'm worried myself. Hoping it's not an after hours Friday Rns. But it was due to spud R1 on the 5th and it's only the 7th. Not exactly weeks behind is it. The guy on twitter can't even string a sentence together. Appalling grammar. Just a lonely troll I suspect. | croxonopolis
07/11/2018 09:58 | A crackpot started a rumour on twitter last night. It is being repeated on other sites this morning. I wonder if that nonsense is partly responsible for the selling? Hopefully yes, as it is clearly just a pathetic attempt to induce worry. | honestmarty
07/11/2018 09:45 | Where is r1 news? | neo26
07/11/2018 09:37 | The cuckoo Norwegian is back ! He now tweets that the drilling is suspended ! if I read properly ! according to him, they stopped drilling on Friday ! Can someone wake up Sefton and ask him which horizon we are in ? Should be R1 if all goes along. What's the latest ? | markter
