Just wondering whether to buy a few more of these but I am a bit worried about their cash situation. Will they need to do a placing? If so it would be better for them to hold off until they have confirmed the rig is actually coming at which point the share price should hopefully be a bit higher. (Meaning a placing could be done at higher than the current price).

I have sneaky feeling aaog might go for contingency rig as oppose to the eni rig...Questions will be asked why not have this contingency in the first place...Drilling hopefully still in Feb...

I’m expecting two RNS’s in the next couple of weeks

-update on licence extension.Can only be status quo or better

-rig update-can only be rig on way or replacement making its way to site.

I cannot see any other outcomes.

It’s then down to the drill-something that seems to have been forgotten in the maelstrom.

ShafaqCome on bro, it took the rig operators 2 and half months to upgrade the rig.. I can't believe that..Rns issued 14th Sept, eni requested some upgrades.I think drill should be reaching td anytime now...

Considering eni wanted to drill early Nov but rig was not delivered to them till late Nov for a 45 day drill, as aaog expected the rig to be available mid Dec.Having started drilling late nov/early Dec so hopefully mid Jan will be aaog's as per 45 day drill timeline.

It’s the fact that they haven’t shown the ability to carry out the workovers successfully that has spooked the market.

The plan was to get an share price uplift by demonstrating they could pick the low hanging fruit.

I’m invested here, and continue to be, as I think the investment case is so good that even poor management can’t completely mess it up.

Of course, if we don’t find hydrocarbons in the Mengo or the Djeno with the explo drill, the stampede will be more ferocious than anything people have seen on the TV or in person on the first day of the sales in Oxford St in years gone by.

Rig delay 30th September - 31st January has seen the share price fall from 28p to 9.88p currently 12p. It's a bit overdone don't you think !

2018 looking very bright for aaog.licence extended. Rig contract signed. Rig on site quite quickly as it's currently being used 2 hours away. Start of spud in 1St half February .. 5000bpd mkt cap 50 - 200m.current mkt cap 8.2m. This has goto more bags than versace

I should hope drilling will start before 1st April.

All we’ve had is mismanagement operationally, and delays. If drilling doesn’t start in the first half of Q1 I will be appalled.

Then again, we just know that something will go wrong.

A rig will be officially secured in January 2018 - either the one they have bee chasing or a contingency one. Drilling to start Q1 18.

As I said before an update is fine as long as it's positive news, further delays would be painful.
