Up yesterday down today, strange market ? |
Positive article in the Daily Mail market report
STOCK WATCH |
'one seller' is usually a myth. Here it's most likely a mix a profit taking (50% rise from lows) and loss taking (original listing 64p and highs of over £1, covid fundraise at 50p too) finally taking the hit if investors think there's better opportunities elsewhere. Personally I feel we're due some more M&A news soon which could lead to that £100m UK figure in 2026. |
Maybe there is the liquidity to and get better price in multiples....I've found that before |
If it is one seller @39 then not sure why they don't take a chunk rather drips and drabs |
Nice progress 👏 |
Bit of a drop in cash but they are doing a fair bit of capital spend Just over £700k spent on buybacks so far |
Bit late on the trading update this year I hope it is not bad news |
I had already netted a few |
hook line and sinker |
Mrf 🙈 I guess somebody had to take the bait 👀 |
This seems very fishy! |
It appears it was Simon Thompson @ Investors Chronicle that's given them the nod in his Alpha column. |
WTF is going on here this morning? Tipped somewhere or something?? |
likely read-across from the retail sales figures |
Why big drop today? |
this seems to have an awful lot of cash in the bank for such a small company Profitable as well Next set of accounts should be interesting |
£250k a week buy back, 50p shortly. |
A £4m buyback versus a market cap of about £29m at 38p. That is a decent wedge, especially considering how illiquid ANG is. Taken a small position at the bell, well what I could get hold of.
They closed off the buying at 38p in double quick time. The statement sounds more bullish, but clearly it is retail so can't get too excited. Just wondering if that buyback can cause enough optimism to move the price at least into the 40's.
Set the bar low.
All imo DYOR |
UK retail sector, as far out of fashion as possible unfortunately |
Frankly surprised that nothing has happened bearing in mind that the UK business appears perfectly solid, the cash is there, and there are significant shareholders who are clearly looking for some sort of resolution. Ok, they seem determined to bash their heads against the Euro wall - others might be able to help them do it better, or they could just close it - done think that there’s a blocking shareholding- but could be wrong - so what am i missing? |
UK trading going well, Europe still struggling to get momentum. A mcap of £28m and £17m in the bank surely won't last for long. |
TU this Wednesday 21st |
Got to be worth a 10% movement to cashflow/profits to warrant an RNS. Could do a 'Reach' release but with TU due in 3 weeks.... |
