More justification for some state cornerstoning of the project finance and hopefully grants to get it to FS phase.2 important industrials metals with good PM credits and an economic boost to Anglesey. There are possible REE deposits in the type of structures at Parys which if defined could be of additional interest.Just hope for some further meaningful progress to take this to development |
Fantastic news |
I think labour are positive on critical metals for net zero electrification so i think there could be grants and finance available for such projects especially in economically struggling areas to provide some security of supply as well as jobs. In the general election though the seat moved to Plaid Cymru from Labour. The new MP was former head of Anglesey council since 2017 and have shown to be positive on the development.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Llinos_MediFingers crossed something gets moving soon. |
BBC news 24th of August. Anglesey mining has reached the first milestone. in. getting Anglesey up and running and createing creating 120 possible jobs. Local councils. seemed to be all in favour. of creating these jobs. Just a matter of waiting for the Labour Party. to put their two pennethworth in. |
Kooba .. why you investing in a pure gamble ? This could go bust as easy as the next placing failing . Never sold a single shilling of metal in decades. All shareholders have been used for is line directors pockets. |
And I'm pretty sure Jo Battershill ex CEO and currently a non executive at Anglesey knows more about the assets and their potential than any of us so checking social media posts for clues from such people is very valid research. I think Jo had previously mentioned he knew the Australian guys at the company who bid for Anglesey ..picked that up from social media or an interview..worth following these things so you don't appear ignorant when you post rubbish about there never being anyone interested in 30 years. To be fair though you are doing more digging than Anglesey at the moment. |
I think you'll find that I know AYM pretty well & just posted what was on 'X' nothing more |
Well if you consider following that blog as "research", I have a bridge for sale.
Why bother studying to become an analyst when you can just post made up rubbish on X and people refer to it as research? |
calmtrader,
Well if you're researchng stocks by looking at blogs like that on X I wish you the best of British, you'll need it... |
Good volume again.. |
Another comment from Jo Battershill from January 2023 regarding the Grangesberg stake, it never happened but it could, once again deliver significant value.
'As we have previously communicated, the opportunity for Anglesey Mining is now to advance the project through to a Financial Investment Decision. This could be completed along with securing a strategic investor, offtake partner, separate listing, or a combination of these options' |
This is now down 51% year to date and the bank account is empty again. Hows that for creating shareholder value? Well done Mr Battershill.
It needs to rise over 250% to where I sold out. I’ll buy back if they secure outside funding, I got tired of these men helping themselves to my cash. |
This is on 'X' this morning https://x.com/bonker99/status/1856980273642061915?s=46&t=Eq7T3qYOfnR2zrro-cygFw |
In May 2022 they conducted a placing at 3.4p a share raising £860k the then CEO Jo Battershill said...
'The placing will provide funds to generate strong news flow and potentially substantial value creation for Anglesey's shareholders'
Well that substantial value creation never came, at the time there were 280m shares in issue, there are now 480m.
It is way past time this company delivered some value to the shareholders, the commodity prices are perfect for a corporate deal, the projects/assets of AYM are worth multiples of the current market value.
This is AIM all it takes is one decent piece of news-flow to deliver significant value here, is it a time to place bets?? |
They are bidding for lumps this morning |
There was a trade 1350,000 @ 0.92 yesterday this morning a few 250k trades if it dips a bit more may be tempted |
Good morning personally. I think we're in for a massive re rating upwards. in the very, very near future. as somebody's got to move if they're going to, very quickly. |
Oh and Highley if you did any research you would find that there was an agreement to sell Parys back in 2008 that fell through because of the credit crunch and a sharp fall in metals prices...after that Anglesey focused on their iron ore assets which led to a massive rise in the share price ..before the iron ore price fell sharply making production there uneconomic.http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/7668270.stm..13th Oct 2008."In April, it was reported that Western Metals had agreed to pay about £14m for the Parys Mountain project, pending a feasibility review"Lehman Bros collapsed Sept 2008 ...all bets were off at that time. The definition of the project and the metals prices are far ahead of where they were then. |
Kooba do you not have a watchlist of stocks that you post on and follow?
Perhaps you don’t know what a watchlist is?
Is it a list of Rolexes watches that you want to own? |
You and your 30 years are very ...very dull. Like other non holders why pontificate on companies you have no interest in and knowledge of. Weird hobby talking rubbish about small mining shares you don't want to invest in ...fine move on find something that you do like and invest in it ..simples. Maybe have a look at resolute a producing miner ..what could go wrong ..you could ask trader who was puffing them recently. Oouch |
Kooba,
Parys hasn't attracted any takeovers in well over 30 years, why do you think it's different this time?
It's been a good liefestyle vehicle for management, which is nice,
On the otherhand, it's sucked in investors' money and given nothing back, and I doubt it ever will. |
My prediction of AYM being fractions of a penny has proven true, never mind NPV |
Net present value is a useless financial metric.
Western Metals offered £13m for Parys and then they changed their mind and pulled out. NPV might as well be £10b, the reality is the company is worth only what someone is willing to pay. |
![](https://images.advfn.com/static/default-user.png) Maybe they just will..the key point will be the PFS When all is set out including the updated economic models ..at that point funding can be properly discussed and also a likely point where any buyer would be looking. They want certainty of delivery...Parys is closer than most and I believe will get full approval then others will look at the time to cashflows against the cost of developing and I personally think there will be a value making the current market cap ridiculous. What would be a gamer changer is if they got an investor in the project like a farm in ..which would provide the funding to that investment decision to proceed. We also have the QME option position..that theoretically would put a value on Parys if exercised.Afraid I have little faith in releasing cash from our iron ore ..can't see it for now.Still hoping there is some grant or Govt loan funding secured to take the company to that investment decision ..Jobs critical metal could all look very positive for a small up front award now. |
