The price is hitting the 50 dma, which has seen strong resistance all the way down, ideally needs to crossover and take this point out and again the higher 200 ma for me to say that the share price will successfully reverse.

Price ticking up a little, 1/2 million shares traded. Maybe not quite a dead share. Zinc stocks falling at LME. LIM twitching too, so something is in the wind.

SHANGHAI, May 23 (SMM) – Shanghai Metals Market expects LME zinc prices to outperform China's domestic zinc prices in 2014, with average spot zinc prices estimated at 14,900 yuan ($2,415) per tonne.

if thats achieved would throw up the senario
US$1 per lb which i think makes a case for start up on Parys but we do need more info on that from directors , lim seems a care & maint case now , as i have posted before once in here the spread very large % so its a punt for long term with a view that something will happen to Parys

10% rise, but still no news regarding the restart of production by LIM, the funding gap hasnt been closed and IO hasnt recovered. So what next?

Worth a look at zioc will have operating costs of 34 dollars a tonne on iron ore possible news soon on a dso 1st stage i hold that one

wonders never cease over on the isdx large trade( in respect of volume of shares ) no sellers here now as they have all been exhausted so the price rises

on the L2 @ 11-09 500K appears on the BID at the 2.75p mark
probably plenty avail at the 3.1p price now but only 30k shows as avail on l2
wewill see if any more buyers enter during the next few weeks

From 13 March 2013 research notes relating to the company's investment in LIM are not included on the AYM website .As from 13th March LIM is now treated as an investment and not as an associate.

Thanks hyper al we are not at the $1per lb yet so keep watching,A major portion of the white rock resource is located close to surface at a higher average grade

Patricia Mohr, vice-president of economics and a commodity market specialist at Scotiabank, believes zinc "will be the next big base-metal play for investors." She forecasts prices will average US94¢ per lb. in 2014

Probably no news then until July when year end accounts 31/3 are due , lim price now looks wrote off in the aym sp, so any thing positive out of lim may have impact this is still valued by market at just under £5m, probably lim inv worth 1m on present exchange rate if it does stay afloat or sold then aym may get some cash injection to start the ball rolling on Parys

yes zinc possibly trading around $2088 mark now
also earlier this week
Teck Resources, the Canadian company, said this week it would resume operations for mining zinc at its shelved Pend Oreille underground mine in the US, which has been idle since 2009. Although the zinc price has been flat this year, trading at $2,070 a tonne on Thursday, Teck is banking on a rally in the coming years.

will management make a decision on mining Parys?

Good spot. laser, for AYM - Zinc strong for 10 years. Still waiting to see LME stocks resume rapid down-trend, but expect it will happen once Easter is out of the way.

spread increases to something like 18%, been 26% a few weeks ago possibly that is to deter buyers, i dont know, just sticking with it still think Parys is worth something that must underpin asset value

Key zinc price catalysts

It is likely that zinc mine capacity will leave the market in 2014E and 2015E, with new capacity during this period not expected to be sufficient to match supply lost to mine closures.

There are also growing consumption driven by three key markets - China, the U.S. and Europe.

China galvanises 4% of the steel it produces, far less than the 18% average used in the Western World.

Inevitably, China will increase this amount when they target export markets and strive to meet Western standards.

China used close to 5500 tonnes of zinc in 2011, which is four times as much as a decade ago, and a stagging ten times more than twenty years ago.



AYM bid on l2 altered this morning i continue to buy at these levels, very well done to those who snapped some up over the last few weeks at 2.85p its 3.15p to buy presently

It's so hard to believe we were at 90p once,I am so afraid to buy more,with my record of broken companies...wiggins.woolies,although,just got out in time with a break evens....Durlacher...The old Costain....the old Parity....the list can go on I tell you...
