07/3/2014 09:06 | Diesel i spoke to ian about that over 12mths ago i dont think they finally subscribed, was it not an option to buy ? if they did where did the funds come from? they were not holding that much cash at the time | laserdisc
07/3/2014 09:03 | HA, ..and didn't AYM buy about $1m dollars of LIM stock at about $ 1 dollar a shot, at the last fundraising by LIM. I don't see much future for AYM, no cash, no inertia, just regurgitated statements. | diesel
07/3/2014 08:53 | Tata investment agreement for the Howse deposit still in tact they are set to receive a $25 million check and a 30% interest in Howse, the Houston deposit needs at least $50m investment in the future . What happens at lim is anyone#s guess jk looking for investor or offtake adv / nml lim looking at port rail link now cliffs not using , i picked that up on the nml stockhouse board quote from steeler who attended pdac The best piece of information that I walked away with, is the fact that ADV / NML / LIM are all trying to secure rail cars and use the port and rail facilities that will be left open by Cliffs Bloom Lake shutdown. At min all three can use as leverage against IOC rates, and perhaps by pass IOC at port in the short term. tata are looking for big investors for taconite project , maybe if lim found a chinese investor it could have spin offs for the chinese, certainly looks a difficult job going forward for lim but you never know what deal could emerge , like yourself i hold a lot of aym but prepared to wait for whatever outcome here | laserdisc
07/3/2014 08:51 | Havenpoint "Is AYM still an investment opportunity?" Well I hope so, but if I was going to invest, I would want to see the BoD get back to Parys and dump LIM. I always thought AYM was an explorer/miner but since it has had a stake in LIM it has behaved more like a fund, although not listed as such, and a fund which did not cash in on it's investment in LIM at the best point for its share holders! IMHO DYOR | hyper al
07/3/2014 08:30 | I agree with kermat. But I am surprised and disappointed that the BOD have been silent for several months and have kept the shareholders in the dark. Surely it is in their own interest to keep the ongoing activity (if there is in fact any) in the public domain. Does anyone know what happened to the Tata investment/agreement | havenpoint
05/3/2014 08:37 | With Iron ore falling fast and likely to fall much further this year it would be better for LIM to mothball its operations until such time as mining becomes viable again and hold onto their cash and assets as best as possible. I suspect LIM will not rise much above its current level for at least another year, that is if it is able to remain above water at all. AYM needs to devote its full attention to Parys, and just hope that their LIM investment will come good at some point in the distant future. | kermat
04/3/2014 16:12 | good to hear that. i notice a few aym buys gone through on the isdx , anyone bought some today , or are they just adjustment trades for previous volume that went through the market, level 2 not moved today , last biggest trade was last fri when someone bought 100k on a t20 settlement | laserdisc
04/3/2014 14:45 | Zinc price starting to move up as LME stocks fall. Just reached 97c/lb. | noccer
26/2/2014 15:38 | hyper all i have copied part of brenthargs post from last sept i believe he organised the trip for 14 shareholders approx. QUOTE............... There is local enthusiasm for the project - both the citizenry and the politicians. Direct employment of 120 people was quoted, plus several hundred knock-on (the Jagual Landrover effect). The roads are up to the task of several lorries a week freighting concentrate to whichever port (one of the ports is already shipping limestone in this way), and so there's no prospect of greeny-wierdies putting the kibosh on things. The geologists are still interpreting the mountain of drilling-core data. If I understand correctly there is an art to this scientific work, with a lot of 'inferring' and an infinite number of permutations on just where to dig those tunnels and stopes. But the plans are pretty advanced for a tunnel inclined at 11 degrees, with lorries driving up and down until later when the helical tunnel ("decline") rendezvouses with the base of the Morris shaft. The 25,000 cubic metres of water in it today - a mere bagatelle! - can be pumped out in a few short days. Winching the stuff up, from that day on, is cheaper than the diesel lorries. .................... | laserdisc
26/2/2014 15:12 | laserdisc Was that the drive-in incline the one they started (scratched the surface) into the white rock, but then stopped? I think the idea was to pick up the value from the zinc in the white rock, which would help balance out the cost of the incline. | hyper al
26/2/2014 12:36 | I beleive the ore from Parys would have to be shipped to Sweden. Ironic that both Lim and Parys have the same problem re shipping distance and costs. | nohope2
26/2/2014 12:22 | What is Bill Hooley doing ,let us know something Bill. The silence is deafening, the lack of communication soul destroying. The rough end of a ragmans trumpet comes to mind. | mikehutch2
26/2/2014 11:58 | hyper last september per lse visit to parys some were told the plans are pretty advanced for a tunnel inclined at 11 degrees, with lorries driving up and down until later when the helical tunnel ("decline") rendezvouses with the base of the Morris shaft. and the famous quote from bh i believe "This place will look an awful lot different on your next visit may be some news soon notice lim have a stand at pdac 2014 next week 2nd to 5th march | laserdisc
26/2/2014 11:16 | laserdisc Was the ore from Anglesey going to be shipped to Scandinavia? They started mining the white rock, then stopped without reason. Maybe they could not find a market. Then they said they would start looking at driving out from the shaft, what has happened with that idea? Need some fresh blood and some funding for Parys, forget LIM, should have sold the AYM stake years ago! AYM directors over involved in LIM, do they care about AYM anymore? Was AYM at 2p once, with the years of dilution could it not go lower. OK resources have grown, so maybe 2p would be about right. | hyper al
26/2/2014 11:06 | Vague memory of Bristol/Avonmouth being mentioned years ago for smelting. | noccer
25/2/2014 17:25 | this is how the aluminium lme storage works, I presume similar for zinc they have about 44 designated warehouses for the storage around the world wonder if Tata Steel Uk Ltd Trostre Works Llanelli,SA14 could do the smelting of any ore mined on parys suppose not many smelters here in uk if any | laserdisc
25/2/2014 17:14 | Which I make a 4850t draw down today. I don't know what levels we have to hit before the price climbs, but surely it has to happen somewhere down the road. At 25,000t drop per week, that 779,000t stock is being depleted fairly fast. I suppose the issue is whether it is being stockpiled somewhere else, or consumed. | noccer
25/2/2014 16:44 | LME EXCHANGE STOCK ZINC 779 | laserdisc
24/2/2014 17:13 | You are OK with 'drys' then, could be Welsh for something I suppose? After a brief slowdown, LME zinc stocks are back into rapid decline. They fell 6000t on Friday to 789kt. Price lurking around 93c/lb, for the moment. | noccer
24/2/2014 16:46 | While robinson73- who thinks AYM is the junior market- spams every thread with pump and dump shares, I would definitely not be in DOR this week. However I would think he or his mom is definitely due a refund for any grammar lessons he has attended as he 'should not of' paid. | mach100
24/2/2014 16:24 | while paint drys here keep an eye on DOR. I would not be out DOR this week. 4 lots of news expected and seller cleared today. Two lots of CPR and well increase updates due. Should not of fallen so far down but there has been a forced seller. 1p target short term | robinson73
24/2/2014 16:23 | thing is on the longer term charts without some real momentum this could just be a dead cat bounce. so many resistance points with moving averages coming into play and so its time to be cautious. i do hope this does recover back to the 20p as a minimum though but to do that it needs some real reasons to move e.g. lim financing or sale and parys progress(can't see that at the moment). | rajaster
24/2/2014 16:19 | its looking better since friday PM, 4p stil resistance area. | rajaster
24/2/2014 15:49 | And nice to see a few more buys and price heading north again today | batham1 |
