25/1/2024 14:27 | Courtesy of WTP on SCLP board from The Specator 'Where are the smart investments under a Starmer government?' :- 'Finally, pharma, in which any advance that might improve NHS performance or relieve its pressure points must be worth a look. A safety-first approach would involve quoted specialist investment trusts such as Polar Capital Global, Biotech Growth Trust and International Biotechnology Trust – or even safer, a holding in AstraZeneca as a pillar of the sector. But for a little more excitement our man picks three smaller companies in the process of seeking US Federal Drug Administration approval for their products and with reasonable cash runways: Scancell in immunology; Destiny Pharma in infection prevention; and Angle in liquid biopsy technology. Shield Therapeutics, with an iron deficiency drug already FDA-approved, could be a fourth. A spread across those four, plus Cohort, is a bet the veteran investor has already made for himself; but as ever, he urges you to do your own research' | ![]() bermudashorts
25/1/2024 14:26 | Yep NT at 17p or fill or kill 15000 max at 17p | ![]() dave4545
25/1/2024 14:25 | Agree Dave certainly not seeing the blocks of selling witness over the past week. No really volume on offer at 17p | ![]() john henry

25/1/2024 14:19 | This albeit it at a much lower price is looking a lot better today, the panic bouts of selling have gone and now it seems to be turning so looks like bottom in around 16p earlier and now the fomo can begin with a hopefully landslide of lucky people who sold much higher all trying to get back in for next run up | ![]() dave4545
25/1/2024 14:13 | Thanks Waterloo . Good response . I can't see how the fda could handle all the extra workload tbh . They take years to get things done as it is . | ![]() bones698

25/1/2024 11:24 | Not sure which board to post on: In response to the potential changes FDA are seeking re labs running unapproved tests. Had a reply from AN, to paraphrase, he doubts it will get ratified but would cause a lot of problems for labs as they would need to get each test through FDA, so while it would cause issues in the industry, with FDA for Parsortix it could work in our favour "we are in a stronger position as we have already got an FDA product clearance and this can be used as a platform for FDA extension of the label to specific uses for LDTs, so this will be a big advantage and much easier than starting from scratch which other tests will have to do." | ![]() waterloo01

25/1/2024 10:24 | Added another 100k via a 75k and a 25k too. Thing is if you are a brave punter and buy weakness and they turn you can make a killing. Lots of bombed out bio's, over in EVG a massive seller fund which has caused the price to tank has just sold the last of their holding and now all those that took the chance should get rewarded. Plenty of bombed out stocks in that sector, of course the risk is placings for all you just never know but for me I cannot see stocks raising money when prices are close to all time lows, you wait for better times especially if you still have cash for another 6-18 months etc etc | ![]() dave4545
25/1/2024 10:20 | I have watched agl too long to rush into anything I either get my price or I don't . I still hold plenty but it's just nice to be in profit for once and I'm sure many on here would like to be in that situation . Plenty of time yet to see what happens . Perhaps if you stopped buying for a bit it might drop a bit more lol | ![]() bones698
25/1/2024 09:36 | I know on the news it had closed 13-13.5p but opened 16-17p, got chased and even got sold off first thing before it did 100%+ in the afternoon and closed around 30p before touching 37p the next day. And people are still squabbling over 1p here, just looks so far that there is more support now on dips and not the usual rush of selling when 1-2 sales appear which make it look like it's turning and then people waiting for 16p offer will miss out on 17p offer then say if it drops to 16.5p offer I'll buy then it goes to 17.5p offer and price runs away from them as fomo returns | ![]() dave4545
25/1/2024 09:32 | John Henry. Bottom of the gap is 14p? Bid should go to that 90%chance? | ![]() flavio_monteiro

25/1/2024 08:52 | We have another week or two before the GC so I'm happy to wait while.the idiots sell . Ofc news could change that but nice to be able to relax and sit tight for a change after a torrid 2023 . Should be due some more news soon hopefully Can't believe some idiots are taking 15.8 p after the recent news and spike . Some very novice traders around . Not aimed at you Dave haha | ![]() bones698
25/1/2024 08:50 | 25k's at 16.4 and 16.425p are mine.. Back in a bit... | ![]() dave4545
25/1/2024 08:39 | For once I want these sheep to start selling because I never got a top up around 16p, refused 16.84p on the jump up because as we know when one person sells there tends to be 5-10 that follow and that is slowly happening so backing off for now | ![]() dave4545 |
