Very encouraging buying volume today . Q&A went well |
One might even see pressure on the Chinese group Xinfeng to send material to ATM for processing, or even ATM taking them out as they appear to keep falling foul of the authorities. |
Very good update , been following the last couple of weeks , should see a decent rise from here . |
Pretty good update. As expected a small loss as everything falls in to place. Lots of work going on. Everything being set up for 2024. Also very heavy focus on the money spent in the local economy and taxes paid, essential given what's happening in Panama and First Quantum. |
Re results, yeah I think that is the mark for them I would feel, it's all about 2024, when we should then be posting a profit and the market then reflects that in the share price |
Results soon. Expecting another minor loss, with the lithium plant moving us in to profit next year as tin pays the bills |
Petalite is selling at a premium to lithium concentrate at the moment.
Andrada has petalite and spodumene.
Andrada will have two tyoes of customer, ceramics and battery metals.
That is a good thing.
Petalite can also be moved into lithium for batteries, it takes some extra heat in the roasting process, 1100 degrees rather than 1000 degrees.
FYI
enjoy
This company will kick off $200-$400m of EBITDA with the 2.5m-3mt plant. Partner will fund capex. Uis will be first 'kid off the block'
Spodument Hill
and the oh so sweet Lithium Ridge to follow
happy days |
You will wish you took note of an opposite opinion when you can buy near 4p. Rather than listen to these underwater holders trying their best to convince you otherwise. |
An interesting article on different forms of lithium, though note the disclaimer at the start: |
Generally ceramics take lithium carbonate, which is what the pilot plant produces. Further chemical processing of this to the hydroxide can give battery grade lithium. The quick win is ceramic grade, and that massively adds to the bottom line as it's a free carry. The metallurgy work now will be to determine which pegmatites are suitable for battery grade, how much if that we have, and persuade a JV partner to stump up some money for a plant. I can see ATM processing plants as a major facility for the surrounding area to process other companies lithium ore as well.
Given the Uis area effectively shut down many years ago, this is a major boost for the area and Namibia.
Lithium carbonate production from ore entails initial crushing and roasting, cooling, and milling, followed by roasting with sulfuric acid to achieve acid leaching and yield lithium sulfate. Lime (calcium carbonate) or other calcium compounds are then added to remove magnesium derived from the spodumene ore, followed by the addition of soda ash (sodium carbonate) to induce precipitation of lithium carbonate from the lithium sulfate solution. By adding hydrated lime (calcium hydroxide) to lithium carbonate, the lithium ions will exchange places with the calcium in the lime (known as a salt metathesis reaction) to yield lithium hydroxide and a calcium carbonate residue. |
"the Pilot Plant is producing concentrate for metallurgical testwork to determine appropriate specifications for the lithium battery refinery market"
"We are also pleased by the ongoing negotiations with lithium off-takers that target Andrada's involvement in all downstream lithium markets"
"Andrada's lithium development strategy therefore incorporates the production of both petalite and spodumene concentrates which enables multiple off-take options suitable for both the industrial (glass-ceramics) and chemical (battery) concentrate markets. The Company is implementing metallurgical testwork to determine the possibility of producing battery grade lithium hydroxide as well as to determine optimal production from Uis, Spodumene Hill and Lithium Ridge."
And while we wait for that up to $6m per year revenue from the ceramics market. Not bad for a small scale test plant! |
I told you the thisismoney article was misleading. The lithium is technical grade and only suitable for ceramics industry. But, no apparently I was wrong. |
Pretty reasonable update. Sell into the ceramics market (250 tonne @ $1600 per tonne) by middle of next year, as that's the easiest route atm, and partner with another company to build a specific lithium plant as battery grade work is ongoing due to spodumene/petalite mix. These things do take longer now finances are tightening but the pilot plant is producing money now. It's probably that some pegmatites are only suitable for ceramics and others for battery grade. Though we are looking are having multiple mines, probably two feed streams for tin/ceramics and battery, with the tin plant, an expanded pilot plant for ceramics, and a separate battery grade lithium plant. |
The flotation test work at Anzaplan, a metals specialist in Germany, on pre-concentrated samples has consistently achieved technical grade, and the testing of alternative reagent regimes is ongoing.TECHNICAL GRADE |
When it comes to lithium production, not all lithium carbonate is created equal, and end products must meet specific requirements to be used in different applications. For example, battery-grade lithium carbonate can be used to make cathode material for lithium-ion batteries, but most contaminants must be removed in order for the material to be considered battery grade.Technical-grade lithium carbonate is cheaper than battery-grade material, but such products must have very low concentrations of iron to make the cut for end users. This type of lithium is used in applications for glass and ceramics. |
Cleantech Lithium just raised about £8m at about a 25% discount to pre-fundraise announcement price. |
SMM analysis:
lithium carbonate futures contract prices hit new low. What's the current market
supply-demand dynamics? |
The jigsaw is slowly forming the picture, with AV tweet in the week, it sounds like the Lithium RNS might not be far away.
A decent hold for those who are prepared to wait. |
This is confirmation and receipt of money from the news from last august when the share price was higher. The price of lithium is lower though. The cost of the loan notes appears to be less than 2 percent in shares added. Options set at 9.4 to buy more shares. It is good news but market in doldrums still. Still The best lithium play although the market doesn’t appear to agree at the moment. Usually takes time for them to work that out |
I thought that was good news today. Should be a clear runway now to producing enough tin to be profitable. Lithium and tantalum in for free. |
Business as usual, but a pity there's no mention of lithium |
Lithium still on a downward trend....
