"On 21 February 2008 the Company exercised the option to acquire the remaining
50% indirect interest in SODEMSA for a consideration of US$33,637,333 plus costs
of US$269,079 at a rate of US$2 to GBP1."

nice timing on the exchange rate for GBP.

I cant see how it can come down much if at all from these levels. It is capitalised at around 35 million which puts it on a ludicrous pe rating and doesnt give any value to some very exciting exploration opportunities. In fairness I am a long term holder so could be accused of bias but i dont think so!!

YEp, with the payments agreed they now hold 100%, so should see £8m profit from that alone this year. I'm definitely going to buy here, but refuse to when the MMs have marked it up so much in 1 day. Anywhere near 20p again and i'll take a few for the long-term

Don't they now have 100% of ADESMA?

I think today announcement was for the final 50%, Reading through the old rns it looks to be the case but I may be off target here.

Saw their 51% owned subsidary, EDEMSA made a £4m profit in the first half of the year. Haven't worked out the rest yet, but this does look good value.

Juan Carlos Esteban, CEO of Andes's oil and gas operations said, "We are
extremely pleased to have secured an agreement with YPF in respect of our
Neuquen licences. These two licenses are well located in terms of current gas
production, within the largest gas producing basin in Argentina. The Vaca Muerta
source rock, present in these licenses, could eventually be found to be holding
unconventional reserves. YPF is the largest oil company in Argentina. We believe
our association with them will bring huge benefits to our oil and gas operations
and we hope to be able to develop our relationship with them on other licensed
areas."
