23/7/2008 08:59 | All very quiet ! It is 6 weeks since they announced that production at Grasfontein had finally commenced but there has been no further newsflow. Since then the share price has drifted down 37% from 4p to 2.5p. I think that we are overdue an update here ! | masurenguy
21/7/2008 07:40 | well boys nice move north for GDP this morning. yummy. | humbugg

15/7/2008 14:54 | I bought into DTEC at 2.5p only a small investment of 600 quid, also holding GDP which is a great long term investment. | jonny flame
15/7/2008 09:06 | I don't have that many... I originally bought just over 1000pounds worth at 11p and I have bought 500pounds worth at around 3p. Mot much really. I hold quite a lot more of GDP but that doesnt seem to be going anywhere right now. Great prospects though!! | affhouse
14/7/2008 20:37 | Just back from 2 weeks in Turkey and glad to see that even without news I am still in profit with dtec . sorry for sticking to this thread but the new one is obviously pure hype and ramp . | h d shoring
14/7/2008 18:49 | Affhouse - so have you been buying any DTEC recently? One chap on here own's a million of these! | jonny flame
14/7/2008 16:26 | I think you make an interesting point Drewster. I have previously emailed Juliam Moore who told me there were no IP disputes over any of the technology... but of course we all know that patents mean nothing! | affhouse
14/7/2008 16:19 | Technical advantage, yes, but the time to develop and bring to market an alternative is the main risk here, De Beers would rather lose a few weeks than give an ex-employee a fast path to independant wealth I'd wager. | the drewster
14/7/2008 15:32 | Actually quite an interesting dinner I went to. I am not really into politics that much but a friend of mine took me to a Conservative Party bash the other night. I was sat next to a man who mostly works in Hong Kong. He nearly fell off his chair when I told him about DTEC. He said that he was all too familiar with it and told me that he knew of a possible takeover bid but absolutely only if the technology worked. When I tried to ask more question he got a little cagey and told me it would be inappropriate to ask more questions! After the dinner and as we were leaving he made the point that it was only a rumour he'd heard and gave me the usual you don't know where these rumours come from... Well, a pinch of salt is all I can say. But as someone has mentioned before... if the technology works and I have every reason to believe it is the price is massively undervalued! It would definitely be a very attractive option for an investment company to acquire. | affhouse
14/7/2008 14:42 | Where do you get that one from..... | tippingpoint
14/7/2008 14:37 | You know what rumours are like but I have heard a strong one that there is an investment company waiting in the wings to see if this technology works and if so are looking at a takeover. This gets more exciting everyday! Although to be fair I bought at 11p and have quite some way to go before getting REALLY excited! | affhouse
14/7/2008 05:50 | Diamond pricing site added into header: DIAMOND PRICING SITE: | tippingpoint
13/7/2008 13:41 | lol more diversification needed on the thread eh!! | tippingpoint

13/7/2008 09:49 | Just celebrating post no. 50. Its kind of a milestone. Post 1000 predicted for 14th August.... | tippingpoint
13/7/2008 09:48 | As for the price of any buyout - who knows, but my guess would be around 35pence per share or around the £100mn mark. Seems a little crazy I know. IMHO | tippingpoint
13/7/2008 09:47 | I think this may be one of the busiest bulletin boards in August if the company release sound processing results. Right now, for one thing, the technology at a high level must be working, otherwise they would need to issue an rns saying that they had problems operationally. If it is working, then they need a 6-8 weeks of processing data to be able to demonstrate a reliable yield. The yield is key here. The estimates at Grasfontein were that they had £150million in diamonds in the ground (potentially revisable upwards). At the moment the cap is £5mn and fully diluted £8mn, which compared to the £150mn of potential value in the ground for a producer is very little. Add on the potential to licence this around the world and the market capitalisation could easily reach £100mn without being at a stretch. In reality the bigger producers are unlikely to want competitors to have the technology, so rather than licence deals, I suspect with a proven yield a buyout offer may be on the table quite quickly (within the next three months). IMHO | tippingpoint
12/7/2008 12:30 | Well although you have to be circumspect in respect of BB postings - that seems very encouraging. If the technology works to its full potential then this share will rerate very rapidly and could soon move through the IPO price 12p and onwards higher. | tippingpoint
11/7/2008 13:52 | Affhouse That's very similiar to the conversation that I had yesterday so am holding on.Good luck to all holders | fitehills
11/7/2008 07:01 | Spoke to the company yesterday and whilest not giving too much away found them quite upbeat on the progress of the current project. They aiming to get an update out by month end or at latest early Aug. | fitehills |
