23/5/2024 10:22 | Thanks The Argus. Your post means world to me. Anyway off to Monaco this afternoon. | ![]() rangenoresources
23/5/2024 09:02 | Think your definition of a “sea of red” needs updated, at the time of posting there are have been 5 trades: ~£430 of sells and just under £7000 of buys but if that’s the tripe you want to post, knock yourself out. | ![]() the argus

22/5/2024 15:04 | Another big clue to using the Weatherford Rig could be Sultan Al-Ghaithi. He formerly worked for Weatherford International. . CEO of ARA Petroleum . Non-executive Director of Aminex PLC . "Sultan Al-Ghaithi has over 20 years of industry experience and is currently Chief Executive Officer of ARA Petroleum LLC. He is a wellsite engineer by background and has previously worked with Petroleum Development Oman and Weatherford International where he was Country and Area Manager in Oman. Sultan previously served on the Board of Aminex between October 2017 and September 2019 before being reappointed to the Board in August 2021." . "Rich operational and managerial experience over two decades in E&P sector. Work experience spans across Oman, Bahrain, Qatar and Yemen in globally renowned firms like Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), Weatherford International etc. Serves as a board member of Muscat City Desalination Company in Oman Holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering and MSc in Industrial Engineering" . | ![]() haggismchaggis
22/5/2024 14:45 | I can see the point in ARA showing the Tanzania officials their Qarat Al Milh production facility, but not the rig. Why show Tanzania officials a drilling rig, a big chunk of metal that means very little to them and would have no relevance to the rig being used to drill CH-1?, unless you actually intend to use that rig to drill CH-1 that is. If so, there would be no need to panic about a rig contract as it would be with their existing drilling operator and the rig they already have under contract, a rig that can quickly be moved to Tanzania once the licence is in ARA's hands. . "A field visit followed so the team had the opportunity to see the Qarat Al Milh production facility and drilling rig." . I see that ARA was previously known as Qarat Al Milh Petroleum. . . They are using a rig from Weatherford International according to: . Drilling SupervisorDrilling Supervisor Qarat Al Milh Petroleum "Commissioning & start up Weatherfrod Rig 151 (QAMP Rig 1)" . Weatherford International drilling services, very advanced: . Reference: "During their visit, the delegates engaged in the OPES (Oman Petroleum & Energy Show), fostering valuable connections with international companies. At the ARA Petroleum stand the delegation were able to see first-hand & understand the strength & depth of the ARA group including numerous affiliated companies. Their agenda also included several meetings at ARA HQ, where discussions were held related to the Ntorya Gas Development project. A field visit followed so the team had the opportunity to see the Qarat Al Milh production facility and drilling rig. The delegation’s visit to Oman culminated in a meeting with the CEO where they expressed their satisfaction regarding ARA’s operations, capability and safety performance. This landmark visit set the stage for the next chapter of ARA Petroleum’s endeavours in Tanzania." . . | ![]() haggismchaggis

19/5/2024 15:31 | Condensate value, somewhere around US$4,254,921,311 . The 3D Seismic report shows 55.2m barrels of condensate for Ntorya. . . TPDC recently put out a tender for the sale of some condensate from Mtwara, at US$587.21 per tonne: . OFFER FOR E SPOT PURCHASE OF CONDENSATE FOB MTWARA Date: 29/02/2024 Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC) is a National Oil Company of Tanzania participating and holds commercial interest on behalf of the Government of Tanzania for oil and natural gas projects and other value addition activities including Songosongo condensate. TPDC (Seller) hereby calls for eligible firms for a spot purchase of 1594.031MT +/- 5% of condensate FOB Mtwara at Mtwara Bulk Storage Terminal. Seller offers to sell condensate at a minimum price of USD 587.21 per metric ton (VAT inclusive) which caters for all costs and TPDC’s margin. Therefore, Seller invites interested Buyer(s) to submit offers for purchase of the Condensate at or above provided price however, Price is subject to increase by 51.68USD/MT per month to cater for storage charges. . The nearest I can get, and it's probably pretty close, to how many barrels of condensate in a tonne, is: . "Since one barrel equals 131.27 kg and a tonne is 1000 kg, we have a tonne of WTi being equal to 7.618 barrels." . Based on that, 55,200,000 barrels of condensate would be 7,245,996 tonnes . At a price of US$587.21 per tonne is worth US$4,254,921,311 . As this is a Gas field the recovery rate should be higher than with Oil fields: . "The average RF from mature oilfields around the world is somewhere between 20% and 40% [1–3]. This contrasts with a typical RF from gas fields of between 80% and 90%." . | ![]() haggismchaggis
19/5/2024 14:59 | Normally delays such as we are experiencing are symptomatic of bad news and problems. But given the recent highly positive news flow, from TPDC, the Tanzanian government, and from AEX, my own view is that the delay is due to developing good news as all parties seek to maximise the value of the field post the 3D results. It is entirely possible that when the news drops it will include an expanded field development plan, and either an lng plant adjacent or a larger size pipeline. 250mmcfd seems nailed on now as a minimum, at a broker value of 4.6p. After well over a decade of hanging on, a few more days/weeks is of little consequence! | ![]() dbfromgb
19/5/2024 11:53 | Hi bhod Edgar's link takes you to a Tweet posted by the Citizen newspaper about an agreement they signed on the 17th May for the LNG facility (the same one that appeared on the signage when our GSA was signed). The Citizen tweet takes you to the story that Argus has given the link for above. The continued wait is frustrating, but I am continuing to add. The share price itself is an anomaly. I think the market just wants clarity about when CH1 will be drilled. The impact on the share price from the licence award will depend on the clarity/nearness of any future plans that are communicated with it. | ![]() haideralifool
