02/7/2020 16:14 | No. But I thought I should leave it a year (other than a correction of a false claim relating to a former colleague). I won't be commenting frequently though. My reading of this situation is similar to yours. There is an election due in Tanzania; I would expect politicians to want to demonstrate some progress and give hope. | emptyend
02/7/2020 15:04 | hi greyingsurfer, please not another, well not without some kind of assurance that things were progressing towards a positive conclusion. I do wonder the thoughts of ee sometimes, though I don't know if I'd be wrong to assume, that he might have signed something prier to leaving prohibiting any discussion of AEX? | blackgold00
02/7/2020 14:23 | Mm, I wouldn't be too sure of that, BG. Perhaps another extension :) | greyingsurfer
02/7/2020 09:01 | you think, well skin, in two weeks we'll all know for sure, I think. | blackgold00
02/7/2020 08:50 | Dream on then BG. Its only you, Edgar, Sueyou and Tanzania who have any faith in this now I think? | skinwalker
02/7/2020 08:11 | "Nothing world class about anything associated with Aminex BG" i'v already stated the Ruvuma geology skin, where it looks like now, that Ntorya was so large that even little old Aminex couldn't help but find it. lol "Its a minor miracle that it still exists." yes, and I think that speaks volumes, and most probably due to the geology and Tanzania's newly built gas infrastructure to supply their growing gas demand, hence a recognition of Aminex's potential, especially from the Zubair's. | blackgold00
02/7/2020 01:12 | So Malcy is still on board and he has stuck with AEX for a long time now. | 888icb
01/7/2020 23:30 | Malcy...https://twit | edgar222
01/7/2020 21:44 | Looks ominous to me | barnes4
01/7/2020 21:36 | Nothing world class about anything associated with Aminex BG. Its just a tin pot O&G exploration company that's gone nowhere and is going nowhere. Its a minor miracle that it still exists. Dump it. | skinwalker
01/7/2020 14:09 | yes you're probably right skin, and if it wasn't for the fact that the Ntorya gas sales/prices are not linked to the world price of crude oil/lng, then I think I wouldn't be still here. or maybe I would, I don't know because the Ruvuma geology is, I believe world class. | blackgold00
01/7/2020 13:56 | yes i saw that MALC5. lol | blackgold00
01/7/2020 13:51 | BG - currently Technology, Biotechs, and (possibly) Pharmaceuticals. | skinwalker
01/7/2020 12:56 | and which would that be Range ? | blackgold00
01/7/2020 12:24 | They will never get it resolved in Tanzania. Best to sell up and put your cash in other stocks that will make you money. | rangenoresources
01/7/2020 11:53 | Although currently down 6% the buys are now outnumbering the sells 2:1 on volume of 4.2 million. Looks like investors are taking a sensible approach as nothing has really changed as a result of having to wait upto another 2 weeks. | 888icb
01/7/2020 11:22 | 72642, except for the Chinese of course. Not that they'd probably be interested in our assets though, sadly! | dunderheed
01/7/2020 11:10 | If at this point with the milestones recently achieved and nothing further required from AEX and a tax demand settled essentially before its due the Tanzanians fail to deliver, they cannot expect anyone to deal with them in the future. No international company could seriously consider doing business in such an environment. | 888icb
01/7/2020 10:49 | I would of thought a simple solution would be for the company to negotiate a new royalty payment for Tanzania based on envisaged output of gas , they need to get the gov on their side , not enough cash left for little brown envelopes ! | jotoha2
01/7/2020 10:46 | Because you're scrabbling around for straws and this is the only period the Omanis would allow them before walking away or calling in loan? Do you not think "we" could have been played since the day BH mis-managed the assets on many many occasions previously? All imho and dyor of course. | dunderheed
01/7/2020 10:26 | Why go for 2 weeks unless you were convinced that would be enough time? If you had doubts you would have gone for a longer period. The BoD are as aware as we all are of the long delays there have been at every stage due to the Government of Tanzania and there is nothing the BoD can do about that. It is difficult to see why they would pick such a short time only to extend it again in 2 weeks. | 888icb
01/7/2020 10:02 | Why on Earth do they need to repay anything AEX have spent in Tanzania? They can do what they want. We will see over the next couple of weeks but I am 50:50 either way - before I erred on positive finality for AEX but less sure now. Simple but that's the way it is. | dunderheed
01/7/2020 09:45 | Aminex have spent circa $100m on the assets and Tanzania cannot repay that. That is approaching 3p a share. So a default/kick out by the govt is difficult for the Govt. they cant pay their MPs at the moment (news in the Citizen today). | edgar222
01/7/2020 09:29 | They still will of course why not? The Omanis can continue this work. Essentially the mess we are in now, is because BH was completely out of his depth for a very long time. There have been many occasions the path and strategy could have been altered. All imho and dyor. | dunderheed |
