FWIW, Tanzania paying some bills to WRL

Payments were received from both Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation ("TPDC") and Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited ("Tanesco") for one month's gas sales and two month's gas sales respectively.

Maybe its simply that growing the value of the Company is just too difficult for them?
Remember they are very important people on fat-cat salaries with a golf handicap to protect. Such people abhor failure.
Better not to try anything that might not work.

I fail to understand the strategy sometimes. Why try to attract the bargain bucket investors? Why not try to grow the value of the company? Yes, it will make the shares more expensive to buy BUT it will make them more valuable as well. I'll bring it up at the AGM. Not that I expect this lot to understand. Probably be met by deafening silence. Last time I did that at an AGM, not for Aminex, you could have heard a pin drop. Although a few people did chuckle at the inability of the board to even comprehend the question. Nobody could even meet my gaze afterwards. It's hard being on a different level sometimes..

Bun - its the way it is these days. Nobody gives a monkeys for loyal customers. They put all their effort into attracting new, so existing customers go someplace else where new customers are enticed.
Its a stupid, pathetic business model that ends in tears. Look at British Gas, British Telecom etc etc.
The world is run by thick dikcehds who think they're clever because they got a 2.2 in media studies, and can nearly get the 4x table correct.

Personally I wouldn't describe his wit as cerebral.
But nothing wrong with an attempt at humour in desperate times.
And as far as little old Aminex is concerned, the time is desperate and running out.

bb rules? ball-bearings rules? Ah, got it! ball-bearings roll.

The point is? Everybody knows ball-bearings roll. Its not funny.

Yes, but why does the board focus so much on dropping the share price to entice new investors? I understand the reason but existing investors should be AT LEAST as important to a board of a COMPETENTLY MANAGED COMPANY. When the share price goes down so does the monetary value of your stake in the company. Cold hard cash.

It's like I used to say to salespeople don't sell on price, sell on value... seems like the board have never had any sales training and keep lowering that share price to attract cheap charlies.

Yes but that's balanced by the good fortune of any potential buyers out there (maybe).

Has anyone else noticed the price drop? Seems to be going down. This means the value of any shareholding that you or I hold has decreased in value.

Morning Gerry - nothing.
Might it be a bit of a come-down from heading up an O&G exploration Company that was going to rival Shell, BP and Exxon and propel Tanzania into the big league though?

Skinwalker, me serious? In bunbooster kind of way:

On the 19th of November, 2015, the company announced the opening of its first filling station in the Romania. The brand new ultra-modern Nobel Oil petrol station estimated to serve 1200 vehicles per day was officially launched in the northeastern city Iaşi.

Haider "I know of at least one experienced PI (used to post on TMF) who sold out when Stuard Detmar left AEX, the share price was around 10p at the time IIRC"

more like 4p-5p jan 2013, yes i think i know who you talk of, not heard much of him since,he was very fond of ophr back then, interesting how both the aex/ophr share price has preformed.

Hi Peter, I would not disagree with that. I did put experienced in quotes ;)

Detmer now runs a petrol station in Rumania.

Yes don't get me wrong I hadn't really heard of Stuart Detmer and personally didn't 'rate' him as a captain of industry, but wtfdik?
He's hardly set the world on fire since leaving has he?
I don't know just asking...
