well i'm thinking, that with the major off-shore gas discovery's now clearly many years down the road of being developed and if ever being brought ashore, Aminex must be in not just in a strong bargaining position, that is to negotiate any short term development for Ntorya, but also in a unique position in as much as they are the only ones that are active and with the potential to prove up any significant quantity's of gas (TCFs) from their licenses that can go any where near filling the new billion dollar gas infrastructure and or satisfying Tanzania's future potential growth.

in my mind to enable future planing, TPDC needs to know the potential size of Ntorya, so its imperative NT-3 is drilled, but Aminex will not drill it until they get the assurance that NT-1 and 2 will/can be developed for early production.

In some ways this debt pay off is quite a cynical corporate play. Now Brian Hall will get paid his back salary which he has refused until the loan was fully paid off. Snouts in the trough!

What's a "mutted response"? Anything to do with dogs?

Well I think it is a very reassuring RNS. Clearly any payment delays haven't stopped them being able to pay the debts off. I look forward to the interims to 30th June 2017 showing a strong balance sheet with no debt.

from Solo's RNS

Neil Ritson, Solo's Chairman commented:

"Work on commercialising the Ntorya gas-condensate discovery continues to advance with a view to both short and longer term monetisation of the significant accumulation proven by the Ntorya-1 and -2 wells. We look forward to assisting Aminex in this work and to reporting on it as it reaches conclusions. In parallel, Solo is seeking partners to farm-in to or acquire its interest in the project when a 25-year development licence is granted, which is expected to be later this year."

All expected and in the price. New bit is payment delays and KN-1 shut down. Oh and the deteriorating investment enviorment. But we knew that too with the Acacia and M&P debarcles publicity. Hence the muted response?

sounds good to me and as JB has always stated, Aminex will proceed by production led growth

"A development plan is in preparation and the Company is working directly with the Tanzanian Petroleum Development Corporation ('TPDC'). This will include early production opportunities to be implemented prior to a longer-term project for tying a fully appraised and developed gas field into the Madimba gas processing plant and the national pipeline system."

Thanks for that BB2 and while I don't have Internet Explorer 6, I can access the Citizen website just not, it would appear, that particular piece except via your link.

Meanwhile, unsurprisingly the Daily News appears to be staying clear of reporting the escrow scam arrests.

The RNS says the debt is down to $3m today. It also says we are chugging along at 16mmcfd at Kiliwani with an average price of $3.25 per Mcf.

At that rate 57 days would see the debt paid off. Maybe a tad longer if they have any costs incurred over the 57 days.

I'd expect Jay to put out an RNS the day the debt is cleared and I'd expect a very positive share price reaction to such an RNS

They paid the debt pretty quickly then! Shame we're still waiting for a drill date, sure it will be worth the wait.

Look at some of Malcy's stock from the bucket list. Not looking too good, including aex!

Malcy may know his oil and gas, but he's no better than most at investment recommendations. Called oil stocks up as they tanked through the oil price correction. Similarly, with oil rising, he looks good and people think he's a genius.

Bottom line, where is the cash flow to him. Does he get paid to promote? Does Hydrocarbon Capital have a vested interest?

Malcy - share price down but will go back up through the intrinsic value. Expect big things.

Actually, looking at SOLO chart it looks like the MM'S are walking it down as SOLO drops. Compare the charts for the two stocks.

Strange drop today? The volume has shown as 3,750 all morning, but the price has still drifted down? Shorters or an advfn reporting issue?
