Guarantors don't have the same consumer rights as the borrower so they are easy prey.
This is rarely mentioned.

Guarantors will not want their credit rating impacted by not paying if the borrower can't make the monthly payments.

Amigo approve only 15% of loans so the guarantors must have the funds to pay.

Last update told us the collections remain strong.

Guarantor model works and this is why we will come out the other side.

but someone has to lose money in those re-mortgaging, the banks locked in at Libor + margin.

"MPs are calling on the government to step in and help more than 170,000 'mortgage prisoners' who are trapped on high interest rates.

Thousands of frontline workers, including nurses and hospital workers, are forced to pay double the interest they would on a competitive mortgage.

Strict affordability rules prevent them from re-mortgaging to a cheaper deal."

If this continues Amigo have big problems.

Any borrower will be tempted to complain citing non-affordability.
If they are not happy with Amigo's decision they can appeal to the Ombudsman knowing it'll cost them nothing and Amigo....£650.
It needs the Government to accept guarantor loans can be useful.

Even Google won't accept adverts for guarantor loans !

Interesting here we see the MIC have added to their holdings but we haven't seen a RNS TR-1

Hopefully tomorrow, I've emailed Amigo to ask if this is correct or not.

Just lurking now. Want to see where that 4.75m trade gets executed today.

VWAP currently 9.332p, so doubt it's going to be above current vwap.
