It all depends on what assets they can borrow against - no one will lend on the promise that they will pay it back they would have to tie it against their assets which I assume they don't have or are already using for other borrowings or they would have already done so (like a remortgage)

So if raising the equity is not viable could they apply to the FCA to raise debt instead? It is only £45m after all so should be able to raise that easier than via equity.

They will only be able to raise 45m in equity if those taking part have the ability to short the sh!t out of the shares beforehand.Considering the amount of shares currently in issue, the amount they are looking to raise and the obvious discount to market price that they will need to be able to short you could be looking at nearly 2 billion shares to get that much equity.I know there is always a bunch of mug punters who jump on a share that's ramped before any raise but I can't see there being the amount of mug investors needed to shift that many shares.Raising funds looks to be a major problem and could be a company decider.

The Scheme includes a 'Preferred Solution', which is conditional on the completion of a 19:1 capital raise by 26 May 2023 (the "Capital Raise"), followed by the contribution of a minimum GBP15m payment to the Scheme Fund for creditor redress.

-- Conversations with potential investors to underwrite a GBP45m equity raise continue. To date non-binding, indicative interest for between GBP10m to GBP15m of equity and GBP10m of exchangeable notes has been received.
