eddie if they pump 4k per day through OBA, then the 4 days of no pumping would have created a surplus of 16k. How much above 4k will they pump in the next few days? That would be a measure of what they stored

There were massive demonstrations and a national strike in Ecuador, following the Presidents withdrawal of subsidies on petrol and diesel. Storage at the export terminal was restricted during the problem. Things are getting back to normal.

We have a lot of storage capacity, mainly to handle the huge volumes of third party product pouring in to the depot every day.

good explanation bwd - I had noticed the other companies at zero as well but not ocnnected it with Ecuador. Also tells us something about AMER storage capacity, assuming they continued to produce during the 4-day stoppage.

OBA = 7003 yesterday. Haven't seen that much for a very long time. 5553 the day before that. However, no imports into Ecuador for the previous four days from any source inc. AMER. So, maybe just catching up after maintenance on the Ecuadorian side (?)

I still believe that the final offer will be tabled in the next fornight and if after a fortnight then I will put my head on the block and say the offer will be for 40p plus imho.GLA 28 sleeps at most but reckoning on 14. Hope fully Brexit is moving forward and democracy is maintained in this great united kingdom.

The second OBA was to be much further east: the reason for acquiring PUT 14 to serve Tacacho and Teracay.

No exact route was confirmed, but it may have by passed existing problems and join the Ecuadorian system further west past Lago Agrio.

Also the issue of light and heavy oil: those eastern blocks, unlike Plat and PUT 8, are heavy oil (more akin to Llanos 34).

Sol was not a duster. It found oil and has also been/is to be put on LTT and we all know how long it took ONGC to do that for Mariposa.

I doubt it. Greater minds will already have noted that JW was considering another pipeline before the N.Sands duster so the potential exists. The problem with additional pipeline capacity is on the other side of the river. We spent $3,500,000 developing a pumping station which has proved to be a total waste of money at current volumes, indicating that there are more upstream problems, so 2 pipelines doesn't really deliver. However, if a bidder says they will build their own OBA and not pay a premium for the one we already have, I doubt it's a win for us......but don't tell anyone.

ONGC Videsh makes two new discoveries in Colombia and Brazil

ONGC Videsh has recorded discoveries of oil in its onshore exploration block CPO-5, Colombia in the Llanos basin and major gas in the deep offshore exploration block BM-SEAL-4, Brazil in the Sergipe Alagoas Basin.....

Well Sol-1, in the block CPO-5 encountered the oil bearing sands of 8 meters at a depth of 2852m. Oil discovery in Sol-1 confirms the extent of oil pay further south of the block. ONGC Videsh had earlier discovered commercial oil in the same pay in wells Mariposa-1 and Indico-1 in 2017 and 2018, respectively. Both the wells are under production now.

ONGC Videsh, as Operator, holds 70% participating interest (PI) in CPO-5 block. The balance 30% PI is owned by Petrodorado South America S.A., Sucursal (PDSA), Colombia.

BWD agreed it will need serious investment but what's the alternative for the like of gtx and oxy, truck it out and add $15 a barrel. The oba numbers are game changers for these boys.

Hands up if you bought some at 65p? I did - and at 10p. It was a gamble and some you lose, some you win.....thank you "Rex Harrison". Personally, I've been using Amerisur as a place to park cash I don't immediately need and hope the windfall, if and when it comes will be worth the wait. More than that, if we are finally sold, I'll get a very large chunk of my brain capacity back.

ML - can't see 50k/day unless someone is prepared to spend a lot of time and money on road building to Plat, assuming all that extra oil is trucked in.
As a potential buyer, my (obvious) question would be: How long until I get my money back? Two years, five years?
