valuation - I could not find any good source of colombian transactions recently
but

oil in place * 5-10 USD

recent reserves 15 - 20 mmbo * 5-10 USD = ????? + OBA + cash

gives you good picture of a price range. to make it easy 20 mil times 10 - taking both highest !!! figures)

hence proving reserves (drilling - what is that btw) counts

stock market October month is coming. and it is a buyers market at AMER (it looks so by the length of time passed since the first offer).

amer is not drilling, not building.....
just pumping assets dry

time is passing and time will issue its bill

It looks like there is no plan B (going forward alone) in the case of a low offer.

one thing is that I like - there (I hope) is a floor at 17p. but it has not to be in the case no offer is accepted (too low). what then?

IMO MAER needs to get best offers for individual parts of the company.
Then, with the sum of the parts, that will give a price for the whole company.
Those wanting the whole shooting match will have to beat "sum of the parts" total.

Interesting to see that in the recent GeoPark presentation (slide 19) below "M&A" is shown for Colombia and Argentina. It would be very surprising if Geo were not involved and being serious in the current discussions going on in the former.

Yes, Tom. I believe it will. With the final sale price a good deal less than we'd like, though more than we'd thought. I reckon 22-25p range, though all depends how interested parties respond to the initial round of submissions. Everyone will need to be over 20p initially IMO.

I'd expect firm offers to be submitted next month. Things could start to warm up next week.
