15/4/2019 12:27 | Moved back to cash today, compelling story, I really hope share price rerates, will happily buy back in higher (or lower) but I don't trust the BoD, would like to be able to revise that view in the future | ![]() knokke1
15/4/2019 12:23 | FA your figures are correct, 20000bopd was target end of 2019, with 9000bopd end of 2018! | moneylender
15/4/2019 12:14 | treasure, To clarify on your "what is a long term investor" comment... have a look here: You'll see some familiar names, many of them saying exactly the same things you are saying now. The problem with jam tomorrow companies is that there is always the promise of the jam, and you don't want to be the one who sold yesterday. That sent me on a path down memory lane, started looking up posts from "victorfromportugal" | ![]() al101uk
15/4/2019 12:05 | Jp2011 Are you sure he suggested 2018? My recollection is that they would 'target' 20,000 by end 2019 (unlikely granted) My opinion is you have a completely different agenda here. | ![]() foiledagain
15/4/2019 10:49 | Fair reply treasure. I would be interested in topping up if I believed in the management to stick to their timelines/word. Based on what I have read and heard they don't seem to do that with any conviction. So it makes me weary to commit more when the wait might come to little. However, my holding so far is meant for the long term and if news comes and things improve I can always add as things improve and be happy with the increase in my core holding. Wish you good fortune. | ![]() lauders
15/4/2019 10:42 | How about announcing the LTIP after the following: -Spud Indico 2, -Interim production update Plat, post workovers, -Spud plat infill from Pad 3N (All within the next 3-4 weeks) Wouldn’t it be 100pc better if an independent determined the timing? | knackers
15/4/2019 10:41 | Hi Lauders, JW is a long term holder, yes some are free, he recently bought over 8 million in one pop. What even is a long term holder these days. People winge if they haven't made on a t20. It's clear that there is a huge potential here and more so than ever before. If a long term holder, are they not taking advantage of a low share price and if not maybe because they don't see the value and if that's the case there are loads of other shares out there. I don't want to appear disrespectful to other posters but it is clear than some seem to see nothing but negativity, a balanced view is ok. To make out JW is awful shows the nievty of some. He is the ace face around Columbia, why have OXY happy to part with 93 million and leave JW and his team to run things. I think they are better placed to decide than people on here. | ![]() treasure
15/4/2019 10:30 | you cynic ;) | ![]() tsmith2
15/4/2019 10:29 | Toon - that's what I was just thinking too. And probably some juicy RNS before the AGM to soften everyone up! | ![]() swerves1
15/4/2019 10:20 | Round numbers....23p in 3 years time for the LTIP to fully vest.... | ![]() thegreatgeraldo
15/4/2019 10:17 | Oh a newcomer I see.....you will soon learn | ![]() juuunx2
15/4/2019 10:06 | Short term sp? Are you crazy. There are so many jam tomorrow holders here, you have no idea | ![]() lucyp00p
15/4/2019 09:57 | I certainly wouldn't complain "treasure". What are the chances though? Realistically/honest | ![]() lauders
15/4/2019 09:56 | In 2017 JW said production would be 20,000bopd by Dec18. It's around 6000 today and has averaged 5000 YTD which is dreadful. JW's credibility rating is currently running about 3/10, the market cap says it all. | ![]() jp2011
15/4/2019 09:55 | Now that LTIP is out of the way we should see a recovery in share price miraculously:) | ![]() thetoonarmy2
15/4/2019 09:55 | Oh yeah, and the 2016 ltip matures next month and I think 26p or thereabouts so I bet you'll still winge if we go from 13.5p to 26p in the next few weeks rather than saying what a great performance. | ![]() treasure
15/4/2019 09:46 | Numerous posters on here and LSE have listed all the great things that have been achieved in the recent past, all the euphoria until the Calao dusters, grow up some of you it really is a very immature load of bubble babble you peddle, some of the things that have not happened have been generally out of their control anyway. If after the pint 1 duster some II,s decided to sell and that's fine and as I think colonel drake on LSE has posted about it in recents months confirming as such. Some of you lot are so driven by the short term share price it's shameful. We have an arm coming up and some of you winging toe rags if there at the agm will be quiet as a dormouse, prior to that agm there is bound to be a couple of rns's that will be positive and you'll maybe shut up or ship out. Have a word with yourselves. Pathetic prattle. | ![]() treasure
15/4/2019 09:27 | Same conspiracy theory I was thinking of knackers and the BOD will want something positive at the AGM to reduce the flak no doubt! Roll-on news. Please! | ![]() lauders
15/4/2019 09:23 | You can leave those options aside. The BOD need to make it happen this year - they’ve almost run out of road. That’s a pretty good incentive for collective fingers to be pulled out! Conspiracy theory #2, so who’s been holding down the share price so low for so long? Now the LTIP is re-set, does the share price miraculously re-rate? Accompanied by a plethora of developments...? No shortage of potential at AMER as we LTers all know too well; what’s needed is delivery, more transparency on achievements and misses, and more accountability generally - as mentioned earlier. Doesn’t take much, just a bit of effort and discipline. I think there will be change this year. Investors have armed themselves with a cattle prod! | knackers
15/4/2019 09:16 | At least part of the award is based on non-AMER metrics ie performance relative to peer group although we do not know which companies are to be used as the comparitives. | rollthedice
15/4/2019 08:48 | Greedy sh*ts | ![]() tsmith2
15/4/2019 08:45 | quidnunc and enkeltje Getting, so close to the 'facts, promises, and arguments' can be a can't see the wood for the trees situation. We LTH's are daily losing money, while management are giving rewards to those employees. Can we really have that degree of blind faith in jam tomorrow (or 2022!)in a company to allow continuous erosion of our investment. Have we really got money to burn. The market reflects confidence in the company. Hanging in there and defending the BOD is one thing, but a bit more of....'but you said..' I think is becoming more appropriate year on year. I mean no offence gents in my posts. This is one of many long-term investments I have. None have underwhelmed me like AMER | ![]() kipper62
15/4/2019 08:38 | JW recently commented that the "market" has failed to grasp the value of the CPO 5 fairway. Given that he clearly does, it's poor form to set the base for the latest giveaway at such a low point. One could even suggest that JW and co had more to gain (or significantly less to lose) by the failed drill if they knew another LTIP was on the cards, which can't have given them a huge disincentive to suggest a less risky approach. Of course I love a good conspiracy theory, but historically, these awards have come just after a kick in the balls to the sp, and, regardless of company performance, they aren't justified at this level. | ![]() lucyp00p
15/4/2019 08:34 | my google translate does not explain well enough what is an incentive and what is a reward, what is a stimulation ..... deja vu | ![]() kaos3 |
