as assumed based on TA and common sense - when vol is low for a few days at low prices - no more shares will be fished out due to the low prices. now up a little bit toward 20 p - to get the shares of a different kind of seller.

those who believe in resistance and barriers etc this time.

When McDaniel is quoted the figures are GROSS, 100%, imo.
It’s a common theme in E&P companies historically to be “unclear”; on net and gross so always worth double or triple checking. Sometimes finding Net Working Interest can also be difficult!
I don’t have my spreadsheet with me while travelling but I recall calculating the Indico impact of 2P Reserves on AMER being about 7mmbo positive.

Slide 3 of the February Investors Presentation states: "Reserves 7.68 MMBO net WI in CPO-5 and 18.95 MMBO net WI in Platanillo*. (That's 2P, so 1P @ CPO-5 c6.1MMBO?)

I always assumed they were totals for the structure so AMER's share was 30%. If AMER had added 18mmbo of 1P reserves it would have doubled their total for all licences! 30% is still 5.4mmbo.

You have to remember these are the same people that told investors there would be 7000 bopd from Platanillo sent down the OBA, then massaged that claim to include Mariposa-1 production. They made that happen for one month to get their Christmas bonus. Plat production has since gone down the toilet. In other businesses such a failure would see the BoD walking the plank pdq...

I believe its the TOTAL. The Amerisur RNS states it is the total not Amerisur's total and even puts in parenthesis (30%). Its seems a bit cute if this is the case.

'Based upon initial data, McDaniel has calculated the following gross technical recoverable volumes within the Mariposa and Indico structures to date:
TOTAL PROVED p1 Mariposa 2.308
TOTAL PROVED p1 Indico 17.669

That is the total GROSS technically recoverable FROM THE STRUCTURE.

Amerisur have 30%. Still don't get the 30mmbl of P1 even gross? If it was all Amerisur's then ONGC would be claiming a 100mb recoverable on that basis and it would be even bigger news.

I hope I'm wrong, but its definitely states its reserves for the structure

I will be very happy to amend the post if Amerisur does have 30mmbl added to its reserves from the above.

it seems misleading, as the new reserves are based on 100% ownership

Thanks from me too bountyhunter for the article link. I liked these parts because now all the attention is on CPO-5 and the activity taking place around it:

Discoveries of billions of barrels have been made just over the border in Peru and Ecuador and Wardle believes there is scope for something similar at Putumayo.

Of course, the acid test will come when the seismic is done and drilling starts but if local knowledge counts for anything Wardle has good reason to be upbeat.

Are we to presume therefore, royalties notwithstanding, that everything over $29 is pure profit? If so, the board need a bloody wake up call and start spreading, rather than stockpiling the cash. Does GC think Amerisur is Apple?

If you haven't seen it already, it's worth noting that JW says on the new BRR interview that AMER is "resilient down to low $20s (oil price) in terms of positive cash flow". About 4 min 30 in. Now on the AMER website.
