10/10/2017 11:44 | It is more likely to be connected to the plan to float Aramco next year. They need to push up oil prices up for that, in order to achieve the best possible price for a one off disposal of Saudi Arabia's "crown jewels", part of a plan to fund diversification. Temporary loss of revenue is of far less consequence, so oil prices will rise, if the float is to go ahead. | charlieeee
10/10/2017 10:48 | When you read such stories it does give a smidgeon of credence to the stories that oil stocks in the ground aren't all they are claimed to be out east. Intriguing. | the drewster

10/10/2017 09:36 | Boris Cobaka - 10 Oct 2017 - 05:48 - 4497 of 4499 - 1will that be expensive? Are the decline rates on the existing wells forcing them to ramp up faster than originally planned? No they are ramping up production using free cash flow. | tsmith2
10/10/2017 08:56 | Well at least my investment in PANR is showing signs of life this week. Up about 17% so far. Come on AMER,you can do it... | davwal
10/10/2017 05:48 | will that be expensive? Are the decline rates on the existing wells forcing them to ramp up faster than originally planned? | boris cobaka
09/10/2017 23:37 | look at how many wells are planned to be drilled in next 18 months..you can see the ramp up. | tsmith2
09/10/2017 23:05 | acv74, Not disputing the potential, I'm hoping 20kbopd is more like 1-2 years away and I'm hoping that volume will assist in profitability. We did $7.7 million of operational free cash flow at interims on average production of 4475 bopd. Cost of sales was 83% of revenue, cost of sales comprises: cost of operations, transport costs, inventory movement, high prices tariffs, royalties and depreciation. Depreciation was $7.8 million and is the main element that is removed from the accounting loss to reach the operating cash flow gain. The net assets of the company are currently shown to be worth around $206 million. A market cap of £233 million for our current balance sheet with the potential carried in our prospects appears to be where the real value is and I think is probably a better place to start concentrating valuation metrics. This is especially the case when they use the resource report from the beginning of the year to assess depreciation. | al101uk
09/10/2017 22:46 | Added more today with profits from JOG These'll be £1 within six months Most undervalued producer Best prospects Fully funded No debt Rising oil price Won't sell under £2 | toptrump1
09/10/2017 17:47 | Hi Q. Ta muchly;¬) Momentum certainly seems to have stalled today, right on chart resistance. So, rather than turning up (as hoped for from this morning's price action), the 8 day EMA continues to flatline - no purchase today, boris. Cheers, M | marnewton
09/10/2017 17:25 | My numbers are not intended to be cast in stone, just to show the vast potential that may only be 2-3 years away. | acv74
09/10/2017 16:49 | Martin, on Ichimoku, its gone through the clouds on the "gap" and the two following days and then, over the last week, used the cloud as support. Both Tenkan and Kijun lines have gone through too which is pretty bullish although the Chikou lagging line remains between the upper and lower limits and might suggest a prospective weakness if the momentum drops away. Q. | quidnunc
09/10/2017 16:46 | I can't even be bothered correcting this any more... £1.38 per share.... Wahoooo! DP, yeah like that's the only thing wrong with his assumptions ;-) | al101uk
09/10/2017 16:44 | wonder if marne bought in. V close to that 8ema. | boris cobaka
09/10/2017 16:36 | dp a fair point but it kinda tramples on the uber bullishness. Please cease and desist... | boris cobaka
09/10/2017 16:21 | A fair point. But the 20k target Amer have mentioned was (I believe) based on the production at Platanillo only and doesn't include anything at CPO-5.Please correct me if I'm wrong. On that basis we could be looking at another 10k on top, or a nice one off capital sum if ONGC want to take 100% control of the asset. I thought JW batted back malcys question about our share "not being for sale" with a glint in his eye. It could be a fantastically valuable asset. | acv74
09/10/2017 16:11 | Acv, tell me when they ever do a whole month without a day lost let alone 365 days? Perhaps use 75% if days per year | deeppockets
09/10/2017 16:04 | I should have said with my numbers, also divide by 1.2 billion to get a price per share | acv74
09/10/2017 16:00 | I feel we are making steady progress here and 20k is pretty much inevitable if not immediately imminent. | acv74
09/10/2017 16:00 | The numbers don't lie here guys...in the medium term our target is 20k per day and our profit per barrel is $30 at current levels.Multiply 20k x $30 x 365 days x a PE of say 10, divided by 1.3 to convert to sterlingYou get a very big number. | acv74
09/10/2017 15:36 | Yeah MGW had multiple orgasms over gkp.... We know what happened there. Must've been faking it. | boris cobaka |
