All freebie charts will probably a show a gap.

I said 'could'.

The big volume day (biggest since April) was 25th, the day before the 'gap' day. (EDIT for clarity...) 'Gap' day was nearly three times higher than average.

Gap also showing on stockcharts and on the actual day in question the share price opened up creating the gap. Never dropped back to fill.
If breakaway gap i'd expect much greater volume.

stop loss around 18.5p.
Very good chance you'd get pinged out for virtually no significant price drop. Strange decision. If you're buying in with confidence you'd surely be happy with 17p.
Volumes not up to much at the mo.
Gap still not closed.
Gl.

Three closes bang on the 8 day EMA, followed by Friday's higher volume uplift taking us to resistance - if it looks like a positive day today I'll be buying my third tranche.

The 50 day SMA has turned up.

Stop-loss for the third tranche is two closes below the EMA.

On Platanillo-25, currently being drilled from pad 2N, 9.5/8" casing has been cemented at 5,682ft. This well, a southerly step out well from Pad 2N, is

Looking back at CPO-5 leads me to the conclusion that the estimates for reserves may be widely out.

Originally it was thought to be a heavy oil play with Kamal-1X finding 120bbl a day of heavy oil.

Only Yatay-1 found light oil, which in my opinion was what interested John Wardle in the play there, and why subsequently ONGC decided to under drill with Mariposa-1. Yatay 1 light oil was also found in Lower Sands Unit 3 of the Une formation, which I believe is the same formation encountered on Mariposa-1

With the result looking very good at Mariposa-1 it quite possible that the previous reserves estimate will be way out, depending on the next drill.

Most other drilling in the region returned heavy oil 13,14,15 up to 25api, with the exception of Yatay-1 which produced a healthy 10,440bopd Light oil 43API and seems more in line with the geology that Mariposa-1 has encountered.

if and it is IF at this stage Mariposa-1 proves up that the field from under drilling is the same field encountered by the 43API Yatay, then it could produce much more than the estimates for the field which were originally based on heavy oil, with production from these ranging from 120 to 7,280, where the increased production seems tied to the increased API, as Manicene1-1 produced 7,280bopd at 25API and the lower the API the heavier the oil and judging by the statistics the lower the production.

Loto-2 did not do well, but it was testing the Upper Mirador, whereas CPO-5 Mariposa-1 found 120ft of nett oil pay zone, light oil, in a completely different zone, the Lower Sands Unit 3 of the Une formation.

Didn't work out whether Amerisur were the operator on Loto-2 which might throw a different light on things!

This if contiguous you could throw existing resource estimate away. The next drill will be most interesting.

Loto-1x tested the Une but found extra heavy non commercial oil in that zone but plenty of oil in other zones, so by no means is there a guarantee.

That RNS was for SMA which Clarke is re-positioning to become a manufacture / retailer in the Indian Eyewear business. Since SMA was suspended there were no rules to follow for when details of share trading should be notified to market. Since things are now moving along with SMA its just that now is more convenient for whoever does the RNS.

SMA will also need a name change, Clarke has always excelled at retail, Pets at Home, Majestic wines etc, but the Indian market is simply vast and his connections with top Indian politicians and businessmen w=from when he was Chairman of the English Cricket Board will no doubt help.

Late/strange RNS over at another of GC's companies. Tracarta moving through holdings threshold, with notice after its been suspended for months but apparently a transaction in July?

Hi FA
From the recent interim report they said Q1 2018 for next drill. I hope it is sooner, that would be nice.
'The LTT will be followed by the drilling of Indico-1, a well targeting an updip section of the Mariposa play on the Lower Sands. This well is expected to spud in Q1 2018. The block has unrisked prospective resources of 142.3MMBO and 13.4MMBO contingent resources net to Amerisur.

Laptop15,

Ignorant of charting things, but why couldn't this be wave 5, wave 1 having started in the last part of August?

Looked at Elliot Wave a while ago and couldn't get my head around it at all, so purely out of curiosity.
