03/8/2017 08:31 | Excellent entry point. Will see this now rise to 25p very quickly as issues resolved. | seball
03/8/2017 08:30 | At least we now know the reason for its fall a month ago and it was pretty much in the price already imv and should be able to rise from here if we get positive news on recent drilling. | meneither2
03/8/2017 08:28 | the point is its a legal requirement to rns price sensitive news in a timely manor | currypasty
03/8/2017 08:24 | POO: are we in an 18 month upward trend or in a 6-month downward channel. I'm no chartist, but it seems to me that where we go from $52 is an important indicator. | fadilz
03/8/2017 08:23 | Disappointing no announcement was made earlier but it would have led to panic. Oil is still in the ground and worth $2 more than if no shutdown so has the company value been affected - no. Hard to see the connection between planting pepper and shipping oil although JW did mention it at the agm. Perhaps the staff were all farming which sounds possible to keep the government happy. share price seems to have recovered. I bought some more because I can't control the madness. Let's face it, if the company had said on July 10th that production was suspended for a while the share price would have gone to single digits. | lucyp00p
03/8/2017 08:22 | The point is, the loss isn't material in the l/t and they've added to local goodwill. If they'd advised at the time the share price would have plunged, so regardless of their many faults I think they've done this the right way declaring after it's all done and dusted and I've bought back in after being stopped out a way back. | paleje
03/8/2017 08:21 | Goodbye GSA | laptop15
03/8/2017 08:18 | Short must be closing | laptop15
03/8/2017 08:15 | The market ( ppl in the know)Knew a month earlier this suspension was taking place, why else has it fallen 30% | jailbird
03/8/2017 08:14 | I've not looked in for a while - holidays - so a bit of a fluke it's today. That said, I can't actually read the RNS; I'm reading between the lines of the posts! I'm still waiting for a confirmed reversal, closes above 19.5p may be the trigger - if I'm around to take advantage. Today's news 'may' (there's that word again!) give the double bottom I've been expecting; there simply wasn't enough volume for a 'V' shaped recovery from the lows. M | marnewton
03/8/2017 08:08 | 1p down, so the news has affected the price, was 'price sensitive' and so should have been notified sooner! | currypasty
03/8/2017 08:01 | 109k bls lost equates to 300 bls/d reduction annually. Not a major impact on production.IMHO. | sleveen
03/8/2017 08:00 | Shocking to read that production was suspended but failed to inform the market !!! | jailbird
03/8/2017 07:55 | i be first to hammer this but gettin maintenance done and op costs drop to 3k mean they saved 57k per day they only get about $25pb after tax so it more like $1.5m loss that okay coz it can come out of JW's and Gilesy boyo's share incentive scheme ha ha ahah | fsawatcher
03/8/2017 07:54 | If it drops a tad will throw some serious cash at it. | jotoha2
03/8/2017 07:49 | So Amer has to suspend production to help resolve local problems, then the area gets cheap oil as a result. Hmm, I think I see a jolly wheeze developing here... | davwal
03/8/2017 07:46 | Malcy's flash blog this morning: Amerisur Resources A full hand of meetings today make the blog short, if I have further comments on the below or others I will add later. AMER has announced a production update this morning which probably makes a bit of sense about the production concerns that have been doing the rounds. It appears that due to ‘social issues’ ie the Government implementing the crop changes post the peace process it was appropriate to suspend production at the Platanillo field from 10th-28th of July. No oil has been lost and production is already back over 6/- b/d and the company even made some important technical changes during the process. Production through the OBA is back to 5/0/- b/d and AMER are in talks with Petroamazonas to increase export capacity. The company’s target of 7/- + b/d by the end of the year still stands but clearly there will be a modest change to the average in the second half. At 17.5p these shares are excellent value although I seem to be saying that a lot lately, investor interest in the E&P sector is missing but for those hunting long term value this is probably the place to be. | rollthedice
03/8/2017 07:42 | This should rocket today as it's not the greatest news as we usually drop when we get good news! | kerri28
03/8/2017 07:37 | Funny how share price fell from 19p levels to 16-17s around the 10th isn't it? AMER not playing with a straight bat with some insiders obviously in the know whilst market kept in the dark. Suspension in itself is not a major issue as reason has been resolved but the ill feeling created will drag on share price for far longer. | rollthedice
03/8/2017 07:35 | Probably already priced in to SP | laptop15
03/8/2017 07:34 | It's not material but unfortunately it maintains the negative could above our heads - you'd almost think they were doing it on purpose :( | the dark horse |
