We don't need clarification of the border. If the Ecuador and Colombia government don't know the border then I'd be surprised!

This OBA was a cross border negotiated agreement with government level negotiations with both Ecuador and Colombia and even the contractor Petroamazona was an Ecuadorian state company.

At present I'm more interested whether the limited flow into the OBA is because of the pipeline or because of production.

What does seem weird is that we were supposed to have a 5,000bopd initial throughput and for some reason its not happened. Either there is a breach of contract, a physical problem with the pipeline, or there simply isn't enough oil to pump through it and we need to know which of those it is.

We need clarification Charles. All I ask and point out. Look at the Google earth borders between Ecuador and Colombia. The border is not the putumayo river. Simple as that. Indigenas have title it seems. Maybe the UN have juristication? Amer keep referring to local social issues.. what are they? Who is in control?

I am not sure that some of these links add any thing to the AMER situation.

This last one looks like a general continent consideration of a widespread issue and it did cross my mind re the death reported, that traditional tribal values may not have been in step with the new broom of feminism, so the finger of suspicion could be pointed in many directions.

Surely, the real concern for us is the implementation of the peace process and getting to grips with post drugs economics? Presumably, we are not saying that the native tribes wholly lined up with the rebels and drug growing?

Of course, AMER must bring some economic benefit to those in the area (not just "tribes") and that obviously has some bearing on continuing to use trucking (and only putting increased production through the OBA, which is what Malcy was stating). Presumably, we did eventually pay out something re the trees on the instruction of the Ombudsman, as that now seems to have gone quiet?

This lady must be on a hit-list, somewhere. Territorial rights need clarification before we go further. Who owns platanillo? Who has mineral rights? Simple. A clear statement will see us back where we once were.

Barclays PLC upgraded shares of Amerisur Resources plc (LON:AMER) to an overweight rating in a research report sent to investors on Monday morning, StockTargetPrices.com reports. Barclays PLC currently has GBX 36 ($0.44) price objective on the stock.

Just in case anyone thinks I'm deramping... the 19.5K of shares (trade 72) just bought was mine :-)

It's very much a trade, picking up the bulk of the shares I sold at 29p-ish

No mention of any issues at all. "Any future production will be put through the OBA pipeline"... just like that.

What about the bottleneck with the pumping station, what about the indigenous people with an axe to grind etc.

He did the same following his trip to Colombia. It hardly seems like an unbiased opinion.

I do agree with two things he said, it's too cheap and it's range bound.

I've not spent the time on an in depth search, but when they first went public I did see reference to Michinoko.

Amerisur's name also came up - not necessarily linked.

Yes, very lucky to sell on 20/1/14 14p+. Interesting to see who took part in the placing?

What with Michinoko situation still as clear as mud, let alone who are the anonymous owners of Michinoko or what activities they engage in, I'm going to ask the BoD for next week's lottery numbers as they seem to be very lucky in timing.

Take away the climate and look at the money the directors made on both situation and there aint much difference. The point is shareholder value is not front and centre for Amer. If they were ftse350 they would have breached so many rules but as AIM listed they get away with murder - agreed typically you get higher returns on AIM companies if all goes well and they have ftse350 ambitions not ambitions like this lot where they line their own pocket first...

You can't seriously compare Rockhopper with Amerisur. Rockhopper were operating in disputed deep waters in the middle of nowhere with absolutely no infrastructure in place.

Amerisur on the other hand has everything in place but has struggled due to the arrogant attitude of the board, lack of newsflow and missed timelines.

Two very different situations.......
