12/12/2019 10:21 | maybe its a clever play by Amer to reduce the threat of defeat, by managing the share price higher and tempting those that might have voted against, to sell. Mmmmm | bigbas
12/12/2019 10:20 | An interesting game now. Someone is mopping these up, and with all those who have bailed finding a home not such an easy vote for Geopark bid now imo. Can't see those buying at 19p and over doing it to accept 19.21p and in the main they are buying up shares from those who would have either voted yes, or don't want to risk Geopark bid failing. Very interesting. | tyler durden1
12/12/2019 10:17 | No its not odd, its odd that people have been selling and there have been ample buyers to mop them up, and mopping up today there's no way they are doing that for .2p. | tyler durden1
12/12/2019 10:16 | 19.02 is close enough for me..... ultimately a disappointing journey, but time for me to move on. | thegreatgeraldo
12/12/2019 09:52 | It's getting close enough to Geopark's offer price that I may sell more. Cash in my pocket is better than having it locked away for a month until it's paid out or risk it reducing if no vote prevails. | rollthedice
12/12/2019 09:45 | Kinwah, Can't disagree with anything you've said... been here years, feels somehow wrong not to be here at the end ;-) And a hung parliament could really screw the markets! | al101uk
12/12/2019 09:39 | I think there is almost zero chance of a counter offer at this late stage. We are just a week away from the vote. The buying in the market has all come from institutions looking to get a better risk-adjusted return than from holding cash. 0.21p seems miniscule but it is over 1% on an expected 6 weeks holding period and the regulatory risk has just been eliminated. The type of institution looking for a small return is not the same as the IIs who participated in the placings who have not been buying or selling for that matter during the offer period. Looking just at the stock market activity there is absolutely no indication that the offer will not go through as planned. | kinwah
12/12/2019 09:28 | Sold half now, not entirely sure what to do next, now that the premium has reduced. All the money I've realized has been spent, but there are still a few trading opportunities out there that are tempting and that makes holding out for less than a penny a share difficult. There is of course the always shrinking chance of a counter offer. Then again, election day and who wants to be taking too much risk today, Amerisur is at least a safe haven over the next 24 hours or so :-/ Sit on my hands, cheap shares can get cheaper, the miracle could come to pass... no rush. | al101uk
12/12/2019 08:09 | Still an intestinal feeling this deal might not get through. Some of the buyers of late are still acquiring, and some of them would be hard pressed to show much profit buying at near 19p just to wait for 19.21p and the risk of a deal not occurring. Even institutions have to pay administration, and some of them bought in placings at a higher level. A lot of jiggery pokery | tyler durden1
12/12/2019 08:04 | Sold a few to hedge my bets against a 'no' vote (2X50k@18.92). | rollthedice
12/12/2019 07:43 | Wouldn't be the first time that a national regulator has stuck its finger in... perhaps they weren't impressed with the lack of progress on AMER's licences so applied some pressure? If you believe in grand conspiracies why not add them into the mix! Of course if they were AMER's future wouldn't look that bright. | rollthedice
12/12/2019 07:40 | Funny how quick ANH are to approve this, when in the past Amerisur have used ANH as an excuse for delay after delay. Means nothing if the deal is thrown out by the relevant authorities | tyler durden1
11/12/2019 23:25 | Well, thanks for the kind words fadilz. It has been hard to come to terms with this final fizzle of a damp squib, after the high hopes of Mariposa, the farm out and Indico: reminiscent of that famous line on this is the way the world ends: "Not with a bang but a whimper" Moving on is the way forward. Good luck to you and everyone else on their chosen path. As for the board, may the humiliation of this failure follow them forever, a life sentence (and then, for good measure, one of Tusk's "special places in hell"). | charlieeee
11/12/2019 16:53 | Neither sold nor decided yet. This is only a minor position for me, and will act as we have 'till next week, Dec 19th, to sell before the "D" day. I note some substantial buying & won't move until it's obvious there won't be a white knight, in which case all may become clear. A bidding war? In my dreams, but it ain't over yet. So, more haste, less speed here IMO. Fingers xd. GLA. | napoleon 14th
11/12/2019 11:37 | 17th Jan.... cash "within 14 days" | thegreatgeraldo
11/12/2019 11:26 | Assuming it goes through anyone got any idea what the date for de-listing is ? | clarea
11/12/2019 09:45 | Yeah, me and the company's own broker. Go figure | lucyp00p
11/12/2019 09:17 | Good luck fadilz, The feeling is mutual, we've had some good discussions on here, think the discussions with you and a few others on here will be the thing I miss most... well that and the money I've lost ;-) I have 33% less shares than I did, but not out yet. | al101uk
11/12/2019 09:04 | Well I'm now out as I see nothing more to be gained here. Good luck to those who stay. Thanks especially to al101uk, and charlieee for insightful posts. I can't resist saying to Lucy: you were half right (38p). ciao | fadilz
10/12/2019 15:57 | Yep, there doesn't seem to be an industry wide standard. Forced in the last year to go nominee - not willing to pay much higher Crest charges as I hardly trade from 1 year to the next - so asked Charles Stanley Direct the procedure as it may be useful for the future. Anyway, there really isn't one - apparently send them a secure message with details and they'll do their best! | aceuk
10/12/2019 15:46 | Ooops Double post. Against all resolutions was the reply | rich2006
10/12/2019 15:46 | Yep, Halifax did not provide a corporate action for voting Just a information notice telling me what would happen after the scheme went through Had to web chat them to get a option to vote | rich2006
10/12/2019 15:42 | Canaccord gave GC/NH/JW/etc their irrevocable undertaking to vote in favour of the resolutions in respect of their own beneficial holdings. Probably having been given less information than them, I am of a different view. I instructed Canaccord to use the proxy for my 4M+ shares they hold to vote AGAINST the resolutions. For this they charged me £75.00 You've just got to admire how it's all so stacked against PIs! | tonyrelaxes
10/12/2019 14:15 | Same for Boris! | tonyrelaxes |
