Have just instructed the broker who holds my AMER shares in a nominee account to place my very modest holding against Resolutions 2 and 4. Every little helps, so they say.

I would very much like this arrogant man to have a very uncomfortable AGM.

Blimey - that was a long time coming! Great news all the same and will make a material contribution to Puts drill costs.

Also it puts a capital ‘S’ in the word strategic. Shouldn’t underestimate just how important this dev is to ops in the Putumayo Basin more broadly. If you’re gonna dev this sensitive area you need to evacuate cleanly and efficiently. More to come I think as the Colombian Govt will want this highly prospective area opened-up.

Yes, that will defuse criticism if at AGM Giles gets the rule change for potential future dividends, or suggest Amerisur has done all the company building and is now up for sale.

He did mention selling the company last year

CtR, I should imagine they would be interested along with Oxy, but we are not for sale at the moment. GC is no stranger when it comes to fighting his corner.

Do you think GTE is the most likely suitor for Amerisur ML?

Grand Tierra 1st quarter results out. One day Rodders, one day!

Achieved a new Company milestone: record high average production of
38,163 BOE per day ("BOEPD") in the Quarter, up slightly from fourth
quarter 2018 ("the Prior Quarter") and 9% higher than first quarter 2018;
ongoing ramp-up in production through the remainder of 2019 is expected

The Company remains on track to be within full year 2019 production
guidance of 41,000 to 43,000 BOEPD

Transportation Expenses: increased by 4% to $2.35 per BOE,
up modestly from $2.27 per BOE in the Prior Quarter

Good news once you discount the fact they are doing it because they can’t get near the 9,000 bopd minimum allowance from Platanillo production, and apparently will not be doing so this fy, including from neighbouring fields.

365 days, 2000 barrels, 730,000 per year.

At even $5 (surely a minimum) that's $3.5m annually for next to zero effort.

The usual put out a bit of good news in advance of the meeting then a little bit more when it takes place...look lads everything coming along nicely. As a Lth seen it all before that's why the share price is where it is need new management in my opinion to get this moving the sooner the better.

quid.

I think its pretty solid too

However, I think their rewards have shown they have no connection to profits which is what I believe LTIP should be based on.

But to be disinterested in share price is no surprise if their LTIP awards are based on anything other than profits or perhaps share price performance.

There should be a clear connection between Director benefits and shareholder benefits and the best way to do that in my opinion is a performance related LTIP based on profits or sp, and the options in any event should be at the market price on the day they were awarded.

To have them awarded on the basis they are now as effectively free is not a good idea for anyone other than the recipients.

They don't have to exercise their options, so if they get awarded options on the market price the day they are awarded, it is further motivation to see the share price move up from the exercise price.

But they want rewards based on how they influence the share price. Why not base the LTIP on defined accounting measures if the share price has nothing to do with governance?

Foiled, It's not the first time the concerns about directors rewards and incentives has been raised. Hardly an AGM in the last ten years where it hasn't been an issue. I merely highlighted some of the alternative perspectives put out in reply at previous meetings by the board. I'm not particularly carrying a torch for them in themselves but do think the company and its finances are pretty solid. The problem here on the bb is that few posters seem to make any distinction between share price performance and business performance. When all's said and done, we pay them to run the business. Q

If AMER could approach the technical capacity through put of 50,000 to 70,000 bopd, then you are in the tens of millions of dollars additional income!

After the initial excitement, this is going to go red again !!

What will it take to restore confidence, and at least halt the slide in the share price??

So is it Occi’s oil they are going to buy? Otherwise the spare capacity is going to block Occi’s transport option once the partnership drills new wells - supposedly starting in H2, therefore at the same period this transportation deal is running for...

There would still be costs getting it to the pipeline in the first place, then the OBA fees themselves & deal would need to be worthwhile to both parties so profit per barrel would be single figures IMHO, but all cash to the kitty.

Lucy, I think it's you that are pretending to be invested or whatever it is. With your 3.5 million property portfolio in the East Midlands you are an investor here that continually castigated the BOD. The thing is, I have never assumed to be as clever and as versatile as you but I invest in a company where is see value and progress and oppotuinity where as you seem intent in saying what you can in a negative manor. Anyhow, as I did say, I expect news flow over coming days and we had one this morning. So wind your neck in.
