Lauders, thanks for your welcome, and for sharing your insights. I thought your comments on the proactive interview were helpful.I plan to hold long term - though in line with what Ross said I'll review as time goes on. Cheers.

Rockefeller got rich by oil transportation not drilling! Natural monopoly. Hence I wanted third parties oil OBA contracts.

amer should infill only with their own oil !! for the time being. playing the markets, prices and oba capacity - as amer can afford it !!!

investment/risks/return mixture considered

Lucy - Did you get out of bed the wrong side by any chance? There is no harm in reviewing an interview and at least 7 people don't appear to think it was "ridiculous", although you do have one or two who seemed to agree with you. Sure all your posts have been perfect and never fallen into the ridiculous category! Never mind it is a free world I will continue to post what I feel is something that may help fellow investors who may be interested. Please please filter me so you don't post such negative commentary to any of my "offerings" in future. It would be greatly appreciated. Ta. Mr. T. I still welcome you to the AMER BB!

Never had more confidence in this share and the board. Lack of actions last year justified by oxy deal, they're not interested in replacing Plat because they don't need to. Potential OBA deal maybe the cash cow required to develop the fields enough for eventual asset sale / takeover.

Should they continued the monthly reporting when the share price was being trashed? Could have destroyed the share price even further. RH BS was sucked up by some as the excuse for lack of activity but in hindsight all actions and decisions in sh interest. So all good and never been better.

Can't remember which of the recent interviews, but JW said something along the lines of the farm out discussions were on going all year so it explains why they didn't spend a bunch of capex on something they didn't need as now OXY are doing it now. Very astute really after all the winge from some on this board last year and the LSE bb. It doesn't matter who it is that is holding the share price back in many ways at the moment. The current big investors here won't except a pathetic low ball bid and within 6 months we will have a bit more info in the tank. For me the potential of where we could be by the end of next year is so high we could tickle pluto's ears.

Lucy quite agree, there must be problems in Plat, and this has been reflected in the share price since Aug 2017, and all the RH prattle has been to divert our attention from that. Knowingly?

Posts like this are so ridiculous. Everybody saw the interview and nobody was deaf, blind or stupid. Do you seriously feel blessed by such insight that nobody else has? Oh, and by the way, you missed something for which I will enlighten you. If we are currently producing 5.5kbpd, and 2.4kbpd is from ONGC, then the whole royalty barrel story must be bullsh*t in explaining away the fall in OBA export volumes which came at the same time as the switch to quarterly reporting.

I’ve increased my AMER holding this week, and thought the Proactive interview was a good one. Here’s looking forward to the next few months.??

Good to have you along for the ride Mr. T! I would hope the next few months are just the start and we will all be here for the long term as the story develops. Are you planning on this being a "buy-and-hold" or more of a trade? I would hope the former!

From the recent JW PI interview the key highs (facial expression/body language/wording) were:

1.20 minutes/seconds - "Excellent, we are very happy with that." (Discussing pipeline in to Pacific coast and receiving Brent pricing with $3 per barrel costs).

2.35 minutes/seconds - "Expect strong production growth and reserves growth from CPO5" + "In point INDICO-1 led to an immediate certification of almost 18 million barrels P1 reserves in the INDICO block which is very significant".

3.00 minutes: "Our recent announcement, late last year of the farm in by OXY for almost 100 million dollars takes a massive capex off our shoulders".

Actually the list of positives, some already covered here but contributors, just keep on going:

Once you hit three producers cash recycles and you can drill forever without CAPEX requirement.

OXY no what they are doing, extremely impressed with them, not the highest bidder but best fit. Good partners to have!

Geological setting of CPO5 which is just so exciting.

30 day wells with 10 day on test, immediate cash flow, quick to market and hunger/demand for light oil is "intense". Route to market assured, scale of resources is large, it is quick and it is cheap. "WHAT'S NOT TO LIKE?"

Market currently under-appreciating potential. Nuance of significance of finds has been lost and JW considers undervalued hence him and BOD buying shares recently. Prospect very bright.

Come back into CPO5, low risk oil adds, potential "very interesting".

Etc.. etc...

But can't end without my favourite quote (close second is bold above) "We did not buy that for the scenery." Love it!

GlobalData also forecast that Venezuelan crude oil production would fall to around one million barrels per day by the end of 2018. This is a steep decline from the three million barrels per day that Venezuela produced in 2011.8 Jun 2018 (Forbes)

No. A conflict in Venezuela would push up oil prices.

I've added Amerisur to my watch list. Could potential conflict in Venezuela spilling into Columbia be weighing down on the sp?

tgg - Have been wondering about that. Next 4 wells will be interesting(assuming they find oil). At the moment the model contains aggregated compressional structures, but if the OWC's are deeper than the spill points on some of these structures then the numbers get bigger. JW did say they thought Sol and Aguila may be connected to Indico. Must think same a possibility in other direction - otherwise why put a pressure gauge in Mariposa (or was it Indico?) to see if Ind & Mar in pressure communication. Then we have multiple lateral drill locations to the east. Could be a large find if it all stacks up.
