13/6/2015 09:42 | 2811 has been spread all lover ~ NOT a clever post | rhuvaal2
13/6/2015 09:25 | Rossannan - That is a fully justifiable and widely shared viewpoint. Current hotspots are in cybersecurity rather than resources although the tide will doubtless turn - eventually. Even MIRL, which has a better delivery record than CLF/AMA and resides in an arguably more stable environment, has had a fight to survive and get finance. When I possibly decide which losses to cut, AMA may well be the one that has to go. SHG and MIRL are the more likely to stay. | boadicea
22/5/2015 13:26 | Thanks for that, corrientes :) | rhuvaal2
18/5/2015 09:04 | From the institutional investor's viewpoint, the above comment wouldn't make any sense. Why invest money, just to lose it ? A lot of frustration here, me included, but this is all subjective. Until the 'herd' decides to change its attitude to resource stocks, and this might still be a long time away, not a lot will happen. Quite a few small miners and oilers are in this position. Then again this particular period in a real miner's history is always deadly dull and boring. Some clever clogs will, however, make a lot of money here. IMO. | corrientes
18/5/2015 08:10 | Management have a serious addiction to dilution now, despite promising they would not do it. They said they would need about $10m for the BFS, they took $20m. Now another $10m without even needing it - they clearly don't believe the share price will be higher next year, otherwise why do this extra $10m now? The truth is the management are doing what's best for the management (and the longevity of the company in their hands) rather then the current shareholders. Big, fat salaries from the boom days - why would you want that to stop with a takeover? 11yrs on from (about) a 60p float, no dividends paid and now 14p. What's the point? It's more like a shareholder-subsidis | amargosa
16/5/2015 17:51 | Yeah I thought the quality of the resource is protecting the current share price. Also there does seem decent upside potential even after raising capex say 25% equity, 75% debt, at least if I play with the Allenby NPV estimates from last year. | hutch_pod
16/5/2015 16:35 | and if, sorry, when the gold price finally reflects Western economic reality, a far higher value will be placed on this company, and the big boys will be fighting it out for control.Jeremiahs who base their valuations on today's economics and the general antipathy towards resource stocks, are a hoot. PS Sorry Pineapple1. I didn't fall under a bus, you nasty piece of work. | corrientes
16/5/2015 09:42 | I would say rather: best current ama shareholders can hope for is a take out. The company will do well, as will its management. | amargosa
15/5/2015 22:46 | I agree pineapple as a former shg investor I know the pain of dilution and costs involved here are x10 So for now this is a watch list only stock, single digit share price 6-7p round the cornerMassive dilution and debt required here, looks overvalued on what's on the horizon. Even if the mine is biggest in Africa ,costs will be enormous . Best ama can hope for is a take out | tens machine
15/5/2015 09:56 | All sounds very good and its been repeated ad infinitum by those married to gold and gold miners. However between now and then AMA will need to raise conservativiley $200m in order to construct the mine. How exactly is it going to pay for this. Its been fond of doing so with dilution as do most tiddlers before first gold pour . When they get to BFS they will require money again and they have decided to drill even more holes in the ground which will expedite this. So $200m ?????? They'll be a few shares around by that time.Investors must be potty holding this with such large amounts required in the medium term and expect to see a rising share price.(not withstanding as a caveat that somebody with the money could bid for them of course) Chart resmbles a giant H@S to me. and £60m m/cap ain t cheap considering SHG which is producing could be had at half that price. I hold neither by the way. imho | pineapple1
15/5/2015 09:19 | If their plans come to fruition this Company with be making more "real Money" than many stocks in the US valued at over $1Billion (some of which will only produce debt and not a true profit in sight). The Gold reset comes at some point, and that takes place when China finally tell the IMF how much Gold they have amassed. As China have been trucking Gold like some secret Military off the radar operation since 2009-into their Gold vaults, the amount of tonnes they declare will shock many, and questions will be asked "Where has it come from?" To sit around the Gold Table will no doubt require a Gold audit, which China may demand ,so no wonder so many are desperately trying to repatriate their Gold whilst the Gangster Bankers tell Joe Bloggs "There is no demand" China will then control the Gold Market, which will be "Physical Gold" and that is the end of the Paper Gold-no Gold beyond 100-1 leveraged manipulations having any control over the Gold Market no matter whether they leverage it up to 200-1 or 1000-1 as it is all fictional- no value Paper Gold. We need to look beyond the lies, misinformation and disinformation and consider how much money this Company could churn out at beyond $1200 per ounce, never mind the days of $2000- Infinity and beyond -$10,000 ? !!! Awesome is the word, and no doubt this will be an over £1 Billion Company, and it just now depends how it gets there. It looks like the US will be forced into QE4 whether to save the economy (again)or the $Trillions of derivatives all the Western Planners have nearly lost control of twice in a few weeks and now added to the fire. Some talk of a $Quadrillion !!! Those derivatives are going to take someone down, and its a matter of how long they can air brush the immense losses from the Market,as someone is taking the losses !. IMHO. | richgit
14/5/2015 07:22 | Amara Mining PLC Pre-Feasibility for Yaoure confirms robust returns | chrisstanding
06/5/2015 09:35 | Jimbob, AMA has excellent prospects, but, as you know, financing of the development of Yaoure is the question mark (as is the fate of Baomahun). There could be an uplift in the share price with the publication of the PFS for Yaoure and this should be within the next weeks. Unfortunately, the Board don't appear to be doing a lot at the moment (or that is the way it appears to some investors), but one never knows when they may announce all their achievements on funding options. | rogsim
06/5/2015 09:26 | Hi guys, have held a very small speculative postion in AMA since last year and it hasn't got very far to date. Just wondering what kind of target price anyone has on this stock? Wondering if my money could be better used elsewhere at least in the short term as there are some other opportunities that are starting to take off the moment. Cheers, Jimbob | jimbobjames2002
27/4/2015 11:34 | Bought for the run up and PFS | drmaccers
20/4/2015 17:19 | Strategic investment, what's that when it's not another placing? Directors get rich, AIM Shareholders get rogered; all is well with the world order. | amargosa
20/4/2015 16:55 | Does anyone else feel that things are moving very, very slowly here? With the PFS yet to appear, the BFS in eight months time, and reserves/ore quality known at Yaoure, can't the Board get on with it and accelerate the schedule? Maybe I'm just impatient after all these years? | rogsim
20/4/2015 14:53 | More money to keep the directors salary's paid! Dear oh Dear! | mozy123
20/4/2015 08:35 | good sound company small investers should jump aboard. | vfleetsons@aol.com
20/4/2015 08:20 | I think the IFC investment is a very positive move as they are a serious investor who conduct serious due diligence. This gives financial security to the company which in all probability could be sold before further finance is needed. For those who are interested IFC in the recent past made a similar investment in Condor Gold a very promising company which like Amara has been tipped for a takeover. | 888icb
20/4/2015 07:51 | This proposed investment will further strengthen Amara's (DIRECTORS')financia | amargosa |
