13/10/2022 16:56 | Thanks I always wondered. I guess helps the market makers set a price between each other - if that's what's meant by manipulation I agree, but I don't see it by the main shareholders. If they were that way inclined then they'd just take out high salaries instead of the low ones they do here to push the share price down. | ![]() researchcentre123
13/10/2022 16:33 | Yes, could also/alternatively be non commission brokers and the random 'free shares' that some of those cheapo brokers give for new client sign ups etc | ![]() king suarez
13/10/2022 16:27 | Hi KS. I have also seen these small trades on many stocks. I have been told the trades are from non commission brokers!! Strange though !! | ![]() bwana4
13/10/2022 14:45 | I believe these v small trades are between market makers 'tidying' up positions etc not genuine PI trades? See it in lots of stocks.. | ![]() king suarez
13/10/2022 14:40 | Well I would really like to know who would buy or sell 4 or 8 shares. I just can't see it being worthwhile to anyone. If it doubles you can buy a cappuccino.......I think it's good when anyone can participate in the market but it also makes sense to make the upside make a difference | ![]() researchcentre123
12/10/2022 19:13 | SP clearly manipulated upwards at close today...... 🤣 | ![]() dofmeister
12/10/2022 18:42 | This is one of many! Market sentiment and the constant hammering of PM’s are mainly to blame I am sure. However, IF and WHEN gold moves in this crazy unstable world, the share price will move quickly. | ![]() digger18
12/10/2022 11:20 | Whereas the BOD are guilty of no PR whatsoever and in fact quite the reverse, I think if they were manipulating the price downwards they'd start with making accounts terrible and awful financial reports. The accounts are excellent which would suggest that that is not the case. They did have a Russian PR firm who also would have raised money. But the war screwed all of that and they were not allowed to deal with them. If the war hadn't happened then I don't think we'd be having this discussion as the price would be much higher. No one would be complaining about the management. Ultimately the price goes down when people sell and up when they buy. No one is buying as like I said the only people interested on this share are the 11 people on this board. I could buy 2000 shares now and push up the price by a penny or two. Or I could sell my holdings and the price would plummet even more as I have a few shares. The point is that no one knows about this share and it is probably up to the people on this board to do something about it as the management obviously can't be bothered for now. | ![]() researchcentre123
11/10/2022 16:29 | More obvious manipulation of the share price today, small market open sells and a small sell timed just before market close. Does anyone really believe the BOD are not behind this, glad to see a few others are starting to smell the coffee. I really wished I had nothing to do with Altyn Gold, nothing makes any sense here, minority shareholders are just cannon fodder. | ![]() goldenshread
07/10/2022 20:15 | Kicking , wages are about 1/10th Canadian wages in Kazakhstan. That's why it's such a profitable gold mine. Another good reason to not knock Kazakhstan but markets are not rational..... | ![]() researchcentre123
06/10/2022 17:59 | In my view the chronic undervaluation is a direct reflection on management, maybe someone should point this out to them. Let's look at it another way, according to certain posters management are seeking to list new vehicles on other exchanges but who would invest when they see one of majorly owned family companies (namely ALTN) priced on a forward PE of only 1. IF the directors wanted the share price higher they could easily make it happen, they could get their wealthy friends to buy on the market, they could buy themselves, they could get a broker to support the stock, they could even pay a token dividend and so on. I wonder what happened to the promised Q&A events after each quarterly update, maybe they do like being criticised, maybe they do not care for retail shareholders, maybe this and maybe that. In all I find it hard to understand why ATLN is so materially undervalued, more-so when the shares were £3 years ago when they were only producing a fraction of the gold they are today. I have a feeling, one day, there will be a RNS saying the family will buy out minorities, it will be at a premium but nothing like true value. There are clear signs this stock is being manipulated. | ![]() mininglamp
06/10/2022 14:38 | The good thing regarding Kazakhstan, the local workforce are on probably on half of what a Canadian workforce would be taking out on wages. | ![]() kickingking
06/10/2022 10:05 | Excellence I think that you are right but I also think that those issues wouldn't matter so much if more people knew about the share. None of us here particularly like location etc - Kazakhstan is not a bonus over say Canada - but the sheer cheapness of this more than compensates. | ![]() researchcentre123
05/10/2022 21:32 | The only real issue is the management don't promote it. There won't be Q3 accounts becos they only do biannual accounts....Like palitz says going up 10x would not be unreasonable as then you got a PE ratio under 10 still. Is gold going to do badly with inflation? Seems unlikely. At worst we wait a couple of years, they pay dividends and then the share is recategorised. | ![]() researchcentre123
05/10/2022 15:21 | I thought £3 was a barging LOL 79p is ridiculous, Q3 out probably next week may push us to 80p LOL, with profits for the quarter of $10m?? So basically moving forward each quarter profit could be worth the value of the company how does that work? | ![]() quinan
05/10/2022 08:36 | The progress made and the recent results speak for themselves. But unless the company starts promoting themselves, finds new investors, broadens the shareholder list the progress will be slow and will continually underperform more active miners. Such an obvious issue and the company says it is working on it... but jeeze very slowly. Someone needs to be appointed even if just part time, to market and promote the company. The effect would be very dramatic.. I mean this is easily the best potential 10x bagger out there. It could be very quick. 7m shares avail. One decent investor could turn it round, and once it gets momentum... As for the dribble selling, only those who bought on leverage, or have big losses elsewhere would think to sell here. The vast majority of holders I feel are for the long stretch, want all and more of the 10x bagger... Patience will be rewarded! (Not investment advice, and share can go to zero) | ![]() palisz
05/10/2022 08:14 | Indeed, results from here have still been excellent, remains a strong buy.......... | ![]() chrisdgb
05/10/2022 08:10 | Most gold miners are on their knees share price wise and the sector has been trashed for 18+ months, at some point there will be a turn in sentiment and all boats will rise. | ![]() silverspoon2009
04/10/2022 08:15 | Gold back on the rise $1709 | ![]() quinan
03/10/2022 14:32 | I do wonder if that day trader who buys and sells 3 shares at a time is on this board... Can not quite work out his/her motivation..... | ![]() researchcentre123
30/9/2022 15:59 | haha - That's probably true R123. All good apart from the share price! Can't see how gold will not end materially higher within the next 24 months, and this should rocket - well that's why I'm here anyway. | ![]() preppy
30/9/2022 15:37 | Yes. Only issue is only 10 of us like this share and we are all on this board. The rest of the world don't know it exists or think it's too good to be true or are scared of a place ending stan. But it's true just ridiculously thinly traded | ![]() researchcentre123
30/9/2022 08:14 | Also, the £ being week against the $ means profits will be higher Gold at £1500. borrowing is a good thing when the company will quadruple its output. the world is in turmoil so many will be looking for stability ALTN is proving it can produce the goods. | ![]() quinan |
