05/11/2019 19:03 | Very wise! | ![]() tightfist
05/11/2019 18:46 | In my experience companies don't do good news if they know a player is dumping, they wait til dumping is done. | ![]() excellance
05/11/2019 16:00 | charts on advfn are nowhere near actual prices...useless | ![]() excellance
05/11/2019 13:16 | Sell ad many as you like at 0.415p, there is a buyer there, picking up distressed sellers stock. Probably a deutsch bank insider selling company stock and buying into his own private account. Can't trust this advfn chart tho... | ![]() excellance
05/11/2019 13:08 | It's also pointless talking about 'overhang cleared'. How many times has that comment come up in the past few weeks or more that has been groundless .... ?!! The MM's are playing around with the prices and spread every day and the price has been falling with no recovery so no one can really say what stock they have to dispose of. From the movement of their prices, what's sure as hell is they don't want sellers! | ![]() stevea171
05/11/2019 12:28 | It is pointless talking of a placing. It does not need to happen now and even when it may have been an option, do people seriously think that they would dilute their holding at these levels when they paid much higher? | ![]() jc2706
05/11/2019 12:01 | Looks like the deutsche bank overhang scuppered any placing and a loan was the obvious solution Someone else buying today. Overhang cleared, do I have competition? | ![]() excellance
05/11/2019 11:59 | Well, I'm hoarding a few of these, can dell millions mo problem. But someone else is buying and the share price looks like it's about to recover. Overhang cleared. | ![]() excellance
05/11/2019 11:43 | Bouncing now, no problem selling volume which is always a positive sign. | ![]() excellance
05/11/2019 11:24 | Their income isn't covering costs! Altyn has struggled at operational level, as they work through hundreds of thousands of tonnes of fairly low grade ore to get to the pay dirt they want, building the mine in the process. Have they cleared enough rubbish now to progress the mine? The loan suggests they have, do full steam ahead! | ![]() excellance
05/11/2019 11:05 | They should be buying back shares and cancelling them - not issuing more! | ![]() chipperfrd
05/11/2019 10:55 | A placing at today's share price would threaten directors grip, and raise cash too cheaply so destroy shareholder value. A loan is good provided they deliver. Great time to invest with a 3 year view. | ![]() excellance
05/11/2019 10:38 | Hi HBR,This has to be the ultimate slow-motion investment, OK if one don't loose one's patience!.I find it difficult to envisage a future placing on acceptable terms - for the share price to gain really substantial traction (and value the gold in the ground) may be decades away?.Organic cash generation and steady expansion seems the ticket for me. tightfist | ![]() tightfist
05/11/2019 09:39 | The parent company isn't listed, so maybe when altyn starts producing there will be some kind of corporate action planned, like an RTO of the parent giving the entire group access to capital. There is undoubtedly two plans, one for mining development and another for the entire business and its owners. | ![]() excellance
05/11/2019 09:33 | Do we not think there might be a placing further down the live assuming production is up and they want to push on to 100,000oz? I know they have talked about funding from cashflow but perhaps they wouldn't rule out a placing if the price was right. | ![]() homebrewruss
05/11/2019 09:23 | They obviously have their reasons and even bore the cost of going onto the Main Market. I purely speculate that the family want to have the opportunity to transfer some of their wealth into a different (Western) economy. Usually I would buy-into the argument that having a quote provides more senior management remuneration opportunities....... | ![]() tightfist
05/11/2019 08:45 | This has been raised many times in the past. I don't think anyone has an answer. It may be that a listing allows price discovery more effectively and that selling ultimately becomes more transparent. Who knows? But they have had the opportunity to take this private for years and haven't done so. I see no reason why they should do so now. | ![]() jc2706
05/11/2019 08:24 | I don't even know why these have a listing on the stock market. | ![]() excellance
05/11/2019 08:05 | Yes, that's a big worry for me, they employ directors based on blood line rather than ability, and that can never be competitive. | ![]() excellance
05/11/2019 07:53 | Excellence, You seem to be applying normal rules of operation to Altyn. Don't! This is a family business and they effectively do what they like. | ![]() jc2706
05/11/2019 07:52 | 'Altyn' was a Russian currency. Companies change their names for a number of reasons but to my mind two are the most common: 1. The nature of the company has changed (it might once have been called xxxxx gold but now focuses on zinc for example). 2. The company has a bad reputation that they wish to draw a line under. Whilst you may be tempted to think that '2' applies here, I think that the reality is that the company just came under new influencers who fancied a different name! | ![]() jc2706
04/11/2019 22:46 | has there been no corporate presentations or media interviews in recent years? if not, why not? | ![]() excellance |
