$17m in the bank, new equipment arrived and in use to double production, CPR's delivered to market to justify investment, new website.

DB recently dumped 50m shares to recalibrate funds and cut costs, so if the overhang has cleared there's no reason why this shouldn't fly from these silly lows.

Well, the share price has finally responded, so is the overhang from DB cleared?

If it is then a 30 or 40% rise should be easy enough to manage.

Definitely moved up quickly on a handful of buys today. MMs widened the spread as usual.

Have bought in recently, worth noting this was trading at 1.6p last year when the gold price was far lower.

The seller gives the small investor the chance to get in at rock bottom levels, the free float is small which means the share price moves fast on thin volume.

The seller could be near the end, would explain the recent up move.

Despite the recent CPR's and new upgraded website, communication is still poor, even down to the poor standard of English language displayed in company literature.

Altyn are not alone in this, as many London listed companies are in fact mostly foreign entities with merely a London office.

Standards of the written word generally are slipping unfortunately.

Have taken a position here after a long break from the stock market, have had investment success historically from small producers.

The share price here is depressed due to a seller but often they clear when least expected and the subsequent upside can be tremendous. I think this could be a great play, clearly the BOD's interests are aligned.

Some news must be forthcoming, I will be adding to my initial position in due course.

Often the best gains are made from unloved stocks.

I agree. Seems to me that something got lost in translation or interpretation - 9 years makes no sense to me..More widely it makes me wonder about shareholder communications - maybe I think too much!

I would suggest that is not the life of mine but rather the period of stable production. A good indicator of LOM is the amount of reserves multiplied by the recovery rate (you then need to apply a multiplier based on historic performance but I don't know what that is currently). The reserves will currently support a much higher LOM in my opinion.

I'm sure I read on the altn website that life of mine once producing 100k was just 9 years...but I'll check that when I get a minute...

You have to wonder why 2 x CPR's, a $17m loan and even a new website...if they don't intend ramping up investor interest...presumably to find a buyer, either for the shares,or for the assets!

Indeed. Life of mine is one thing that is not a problem with ALTN. In fact I questioned at the last CPR why they were bothering to increase reserves there.

excellence,

What stock are you posting about?

It sounds as though you are mixing ALTN up with HUM.

ALTN have a LoM of decades at Seki.

Risky because they now need to ensure debt repayments to ths banks and have quite a troubled history of making profit, so yeah it's risky, but the rewards should be phenomenal if they can get this right.

I know life of mine is only 9 years, and a portion of the profit will go towards developing mine number two, but I think we'll see a significant increase in revenues very soon and in 2 to 3 years profit should be considerable justifying a much higher share price than today based on profit and growth potential.

I do wonder if they'll just sell off a large chunk of equity once it's revalued?
