Exactly Tarni, today's oil price has sweet fa to do with the prospects of ANR, but anything even slightly associated with mining / oil is tarnished.

It won't last forever.

The problem with ANR is it is linked wrongly to either to mining or oil exploration sector. When the wider market realises that the success of ANR is now driven by the demand and price of methanol we may see some action. Methanol prices and demand holding up reasonably well at present.

agree crazy, but gives us time to build a position here. they are making decent and acceptable progress at the moment and everything seems to be taking shape to achieve the ultimate goal of BFS. funds will now be released to commence drilling operations.

It's the sector. This Rns when the small cap mining sector was going nuts and it would have rose 30-50% maybe more.

Very strange lack of reaction, maybe people have been put off by the previous failed JV, yet it is clear for all to see that there is real intent from our new partners that the BFS will happen.

We have seen the deadwood removed, there is a timetable for funds to be made available, a commitment to a base in Oz, promises of improved technical ability and governance and a target timescale for completion of the BFS.

Maybe when we see the cash in a month's time, the doubts will be allayed.

I suspect we are heading for an energy crisis looming in 2016

That is the usual scenario of such false Market Manipulations that destroy
so many exploration budgets,so no wonder the Chinese pile in for the gift
of such low Oil prices at the expense of the West that is just crippling itself
more and more.

At least ANR is now back on the bottom rung for the the climb back to 20p
and hopefully will be in full bloom by the time the Markets realise this
World needs energy.

The difference in intent between this JV and the previous JV with CNOOC is immense, as demonstrated by their plans to set up their own office in Adelaide

They could have refused it SOS100!. It is clear the Australian Government is fully behind this project which helps enormously.
This is a big step forward to getting to BFS which is now fully funded. Should be seeing some on the ground activity very soon now they have the green light and of course the cash.
