So here we go. News not delivered as expected, the Bb starts attacking itself and the price drops.
That’s classic ADVFN AIM for you.

I take it your being sarcastic smraynot is not a trader to follow, usually arrives late to the party, panic sells if things are not going right and then if the price drops further comes back to the thread to gloat. No offence Sm.

I wouldn't worry too much 7rademark, in smraynot's opinion, (as promulgated on Monday), this will be 10p+ by the end of the week. So unless he's wrong (which given his track record, is but a remote of possibility) we're in for one hell of a good day.

The key word here is: EXPECTED.
Anyone who has done even a modicum of research into ALGW and GS must surely have realised that he is notoriously over optimistic with his timelines.
Then remember that it is the same RCF counterparty, who has so far taken over 2 years to get it signed, that has now switched to "planning to directly invest in a block of life settlement assets". GS might think this would only take a couple of weeks but we should all know better.

No news in April as promised, I do wish algw would not announce an expected update within a tight time frame, when it doesn't happen the market can sell off in fear of bad news or delayed progress.

Actually the trades in question are marked as XOFF OB - off book non automated trades so not an algo. They could be MMs balancing up some accounts or something. Nothing sinister though, by the way I was an 'algorithmic trader' a couple of years ago so I try to defend algos a bit. They're just doing what the quant told them to do!

if you google it you'll find some detailed explanations... but its basically computer programmed algorithmic trading.

Can anyone explain why, on occasion, we get a slew of tiny trades (we've just had 16 just reported, none of which amounted to more than 30 quid's worth).

Indeed you did Giles. Sadly, not everyone here is as grounded/realistic as your yourself.

I've no time for those of a 'ramptastic' or 'de-ramptastic' bent.

I also posted, on 23rd April, the following:
"From experience we should, by now, all know that GS can be over optimistic on timelines and the RCF counterparty has proved to be glacial in making it's mind up and closing a deal.
Do not therefore be surprised if, and I quote "The Company expects to make a further update regarding this before the end of April." if the update gets pushed back into May."

On 22nd April, over on LSE, I posted this:
"IF the RCF counterparty takes up a decent quantity of those 100 policies then, IMO, ALGW will have proved it's case in the big, grown up world, of asset management and the only way will be up.
10p would be my guestimate."
Notice the capitalised 'IF' and no mention of when.

Is it not also the case that on 25th April you stated that, in your opinion, ALGW would be 10p+ by the end of this week?

I'll be amazed if GS is 'on time' with the 'further update'.
This from the Trading Update on 9th April:
"The Company EXPECTS to make a further update regarding this before the end of April."

Is it not the case that the company said it aimed/hoped/expected to issue an update by the end of April - as opposed to given a guarantee thereof?
