30/11/2018 10:48 | looks like its gap filling up to 60p..... | mdchand
29/11/2018 14:54 | Given two promising investments (Spin Memory, Fed Wireless) but no RNS-able news, maybe a base can be formed on the chart here. If the chart continues its downtrend, I'll hold off. But there's been some heavy trading and two-way trading suggests potential. | jonwig
28/11/2018 14:00 | AM has always been poor about messaging the subs news. They seem to be progressing much better than the market realises Two weeks ago this came out for HawkEye - note the reference to £100m of business lined up hxxp://uk.businessin | steedman607

27/11/2018 19:56 | ltcm1 - I think that some of the investments have a chance of making money for ALM shareholders (Spin Memory, maybe). But ALM needs to conserve cash by killing off its losers to leave a core of worthwhile prospects. The other - obvious - thing is that the chart is the wrong shape for a speculative buy unless some unexpected news is released. I still might, though not yet. | jonwig
27/11/2018 19:06 | Seems you were spot on with your analysis here jonwig. | ltcm1
23/11/2018 18:36 | jonwig - Cannot agree more - If they were any good they would be leiving in a tax haven and dealing own account - How mnay er make it? - Answers on the back of a postage stamp please !! | pugugly
23/11/2018 17:56 | steve3 - yes, I remember being advised (by a stockbroker) at the time to bargepole it. Ever since, I've treated brokers with some caution! | jonwig
23/11/2018 16:07 | I recall buying J Hepworth (Next) at 11p. Sadly I took a very early profit a few days later. Sorry, no view on ALM. | steve3sandal
23/11/2018 11:30 | PUG - Spin memory might be a success. But ALM holds only about 49%, and there's a preferred ownership of $38m before the equity kicks in. On top of that, their last funding round involved convertible preference shares. So that's a lot of prior owners before ALM takes a share on IPO or buyout. I read somewhere that the life sciences were less likely to succeed than the tech. Shares just never recover from this kind of chart, unfortunately. Well, I know of just one example: Next fell to 7p in 1988 and its recovery was a seeming miracle. | jonwig
23/11/2018 10:37 | 40p???!!! How much is Woodford still holding here??? | ltcm1
22/11/2018 16:26 | capital raise coming, run out of money, prepare for dilution | porsche1945
20/11/2018 17:11 | Chip meltdown | robertball
20/11/2018 16:07 | The most recent news on ALM is about a week old (Warning, the photo here may be upsetting to some) - NB: remove the asterisk if using, as our hosts don't like that site. Nor do I, much. A better link: | jonwig
20/11/2018 15:55 | Yes it's falling. It has done this before note April. | freddie ferret
20/11/2018 13:17 | Trouble is the smell still lingers. | ltcm1
20/11/2018 09:08 | Looks like somebody has! | coppers
15/11/2018 13:00 | getting there faster than i thought....Woodfords massive holdings in builders being destroyed today, wonder how long before they cant cope with redemptions and the sxxt hits, from hero to zero in three short years. | porsche1945
14/11/2018 14:43 | directors were bailing out of this in the spring at about a quid, tells you all you need to know, Crest N directors did the same at same time before shares went from 5.50 to 3....playtech boss did same before that tanked, big director sells when biz is wobbly a great warning sign....my prediction on these is about 12-18 pence by March, Woodford has no money left, quite the opposite, to try and hold these up....dump em now while you can still get something back. | porsche1945
14/11/2018 09:07 | No it is interesting Rob. What is the case for buying more specifically??? | ltcm1
13/11/2018 21:12 | Binary bet. Target price £100 if STT or Fed Wireless or Whiteward Encrytiln take off. Just saying. | robertball |
