09/10/2003 19:36 | steady creep up after the results. | johnpaul1
02/10/2003 22:06 | Yeah good results. Always amazes me why nobody seems to comment on Alexon. I know the shares are heavily held by the institutions but even then. The price moves up on very little volume. I have made over 50% on this share and have now placed a 5% stop loss on it. | sir walter rally
02/10/2003 08:47 | lovely results plus divi inc. | johnpaul1
08/8/2003 15:12 | I think they have been tipped again in Investors Chronicle today. | sir walter rally
21/7/2003 10:48 | potential takeover target in the inv. chron. they have good cash flow ratios. | johnpaul1

16/7/2003 22:11 | Anybody any explanation for the significant progress in recent months and when to get out if at all? | sir walter rally
16/7/2003 16:44 | good weather, nice rise | johnpaul1
20/3/2003 15:01 | Next Monday's ALEXON results are likely to be very good but does the current share price spread of £2.10 - £2.13 already reflect this? Will there be drop on Monday if expectations are merely met rather than exceeded? | victorjohn
20/3/2003 11:01 | Very nice litle bounce going on here - I wonder whether anyone knows anything about the results due next Monday? Fingers crossed.... Mark | obarmoth
08/1/2003 07:49 | better trading statement yesterday....the shoes keep on selling for the ladies....all the best in 03 | l2e
20/12/2002 00:23 | Alexon - Sinks on worries about Christmas Trading | patricjohnson
24/9/2002 00:05 | Now 175-178. | wild cat and pussy
23/9/2002 08:08 | An excellent first half with profits well ahead of pundits estimates. Trading over recent weeks is in line with plan which is reassuring given weakness at ard & ads. Axn confident on full year, although full yr. as always heavily weighted towards Christmas. Share buybacks should give a boost to the price. I am looking for this to go back into the 200's. Up 10p this morning. | wild cat and pussy
11/9/2002 16:49 | Share buyback of 3.8 million should begin at end of Sept., and should boost the share price. Interim results should be good, based on encouraging May update. Virtually all buys today and the share my go back into the 200's shortly. | wild cat and pussy
19/7/2002 00:56 | Check out NWD for a quick profit. MMs obviously short of stock, worth buying a few for a quick 20% gain. | market_leader 2002
20/6/2002 15:03 | If you are interested in retailers have a look at Moss Bros. I think there are some interesting opportunities there: - price to sales ratio of 0.2 - strong balance sheet and plenty of cash to fund re-development - new strategy re-focussing on formal wear market at a time when casual wear for work is becoming less acceptable - new management team displaced old, out of touch management | earthventurer
20/6/2002 13:05 | retailing not exciting; not for short-termers, but looks safe for long term up each day for 4 days, despite footsie ( & footie)downsides | izziebon
28/4/2002 09:42 | no problem just profit taking | yarer
25/3/2002 11:08 | The market seems not to like the results today. I have read them several times to find something that could not be liked and have failed. A huge increase in profit, higher than that predicted a couple of months ago. PE less than 10, and the dividend up. Can anyone point out the problem to me? | relwood
09/1/2002 10:58 | Dear Money Loser, I suggested some time ago that you have the wrong name for an Alexon investor. If you have held on that is certainly true. The PE ratio for Alexon should mean considerable upside to this share. Bay Trading was in bad shape when Alexon took it over and recent news suggests a good performance. Hopefully Dolcis will be similar. A doubling of profits in one year is always good news and the market should react favourably when the audited results are out late March. I still hold. I looked at your suggestion of Slimma when first made several months agop. Sad to say I did not take your advice. I was heavily into Acambis from early 2001 and did well on that. All in all it was my best year in 9 since I started investing with over 100% return. I have sold Acambis this week and have gone for NXT (not next)and Fleming Chinese (both down today but I have high hopes). I hope that Slimma continues to do well for you. All the best for 2002. 07/1/2002 15:15 | well done relwood I remember speaking to you when the price was 80p another long term holder ML ps have a look at Slimma SLM and see what you think. I think this may hit £1.50 | money loser
07/1/2002 09:46 | With Market Cap. at about 118m at todays price and Alexon stating today that pretax profit will not be less than 23m the shares look cheap. I predicted some time ago that 300p would be reached and I have not changed my mind. This was one of the best gainers last year (FT) and will continue to do well. Any other thoughts from this very quiet board? Comment from Citywire: | relwood
13/12/2001 14:47 | I've been watching the trades on this share for some time and have noted a very large proportion of shares being traded in large amounts at the mid price. The share goes up day after day, which is excellent (I am a long term holder). Does anyone have an opinion on the nature of these trades and future prospects? | relwood |
