27/5/2015 13:49 | Strong today.... | battlebus2
26/5/2015 16:14 | Looks like we will finish on a new high and still the FTSE 250 reshuffle to be announced next week :)) | battlebus2
22/5/2015 16:36 | You are welcome, gucci. I should add that I personally rely quite strongly on technicals. If key moving averages started to fold over (which I am not currently anticipating here), I personally would think about taking profits, in case the market knew something I did not. Having said that, provided key moving averages (e.g. 150-day) remain in an upward trajectory, with price above those moving averages, I would not intend to sell: "run your winners", etc. This approach is, of course, a bit more tricky in the early stages, with ALD being a new issue. | saucepan
22/5/2015 16:20 | Saucepan, that looks great thanks | gucci
22/5/2015 15:58 | Why worry too much about targets? This is a young growth Company. If all goes well, just let the following growth patterns play out: ALD has a Rolling P/E 2 of just 10.5 and a Slater PEG of a mere 0.23. There could thus be the double-whammy of the growth projected above, as well as a re-rating. No advice intended. | saucepan
22/5/2015 15:57 | I'll settle for one brokers target of 290 for starts.... | battlebus2
22/5/2015 15:52 | mine too Masurenguy topped up yesterday any targets here? | gucci
22/5/2015 15:21 | Todays 5% rise in the shareprice is based upon a minimal trading volume of under 500,000 as at 3.30pm. Looks like my initial buy @245p a few days ago was well timed for a change. :-) | masurenguy
22/5/2015 12:47 | Just listened to an item on radio 4 about how well the challenger banks were doing. ALD got a brief mention | cestnous

19/5/2015 11:49 | The fate of middle management was determined by a formula that ended up leaving them out in the cold (not conscious decision by the Board). It could have been so different if they had not screwed up/bottled it last Autumn. Even Mark Stephens (who is the person who was truly responsible for the success of Aldermore) got less than £1m. | future financier
19/5/2015 11:37 | Hi Future Financier, Thanks for the info, as you say , interesting to see how this is reported in due course. As to stuffing middle management, doesn't sound like a smart long-term move, but - as ex-middle-management myself - it's probably just a case of 'same old, same old...' ;-<<br /> Mind you, Lloyds with its ECN saga seems to be working particularly hard at demonstrating the modern bankers' lack of integrity.! 19/5/2015 11:16 | Extrader - its available at Companies House - unfortunately it is a pdf so I can't copy and paste. Exact figures - Monks - £108,306, Mack - £31,276, Myers - £8,889, Humphreys - £13,856, d'Ammassa - £9,583. My guess is that the existence of these loans emerged 24 hours before flotation during legal sign-off and for some reason this was an embarrassment for the flotation. Somebody was unable to re-pay at no notice - so the decision was taken to just write them off and hope that nobody notices. They will have to declare them as Directors Remuneration in the Annual accounts - that should make interesting reading!! Also worth noting that senior management did very nicely out of the float (Monks got over £6m) - but middle management got around one tenth of what they had been led to expect when float was first mooted last Autumn (due to reduced price and also reduced IRR for VC investors as a result of the delay) - typically £10k - £30k received. Unhappy bunnies! | future financier
19/5/2015 10:06 | Hi Future Financier, It doesn't bode well for the governance of this bank for the CEO to have the bank lend him over £100k - and then to have this quietly written off. But then several other directors benefitted similarly (although lesser sums of money) - so that's ok then. How do I know? - Special Resolution no. 10 dated 9 March (immediately before flotation). Could you provide a link to or a copy of this Special Resolution, pls ? ATB | extrader
19/5/2015 08:51 | Currently around position 310 - so virtually certain to move straight into 250 - as also is SHAW | future financier
18/5/2015 21:32 | FTSE 250 entry in June getting closer PE of 16 x eps of 29p = share price of 450-500p | opodio
18/5/2015 12:30 | Somewhat smug of Mr Monks methinks - and ALD may be "Legacy free" ...... but I am sure they will catch up fast! It doesn't bode well for the governance of this bank for the CEO to have the bank lend him over £100k - and then to have this quietly written off. But then several other directors benefitted similarly (although lesser sums of money) - so that's ok then. How do I know? - Special Resolution no. 10 dated 9 March (immediately before flotation). But I am sure this has further to go as most of the competition (the big banks) are so truly awful. | future financier

15/5/2015 19:13 | Glasshalfull 14 May'15 - 15:04 - 45 of 54 0 0 The fundamentals of Aldermore are excellent with today's Q1 update suggesting continuing momentum. I've reproduced the Numis forecast which has been reiterated following this mornings trading update & highlights the significant growth potential here. 2014 Results PBT £50.3m EPS 11.3p 2015 Forecasts PBT £95.5m EPS 19.4p (+71.7%) PER 12.6 2016 Forecasts PBT £134.2m EPS 28.4p (+46.4%) PER 8.6 2017 Forecasts PBT £164.3m EPS 35.3p (+24.3%) PER 6.9 Appears an excellent risk/reward proposition to me. Kind regards GHF Cracking fella | dlku |
