You said "Alba holds 9.75% on free flowing limestones at Brockham"

You also said "there'll be a stampede for Ukog and HH players shares"

Game set and match to me.

Perhaps you should read what you write before you post.

I'm even more convinced English is not your strong point.

Australians keep digging holes lol

Alba originally secured this option to earn a five per cent interest in Brockham as part of its acquisition from Angus Energy in October 2015 of a 5 per cent interest in Horse Hill Developments Limited, the 65 per cent owner of the Horse Hill oil and gas project (PEDLs 137 and 246). Alba's earn in to Brockham was originally agreed to be on a "two for one" promote basis, whereby Alba would pay a ten per cent contribution to the cost of the drilling of the side-track well (from spudding to first oil) in order to earn its 5 per cent interest. Alba has now agreed with Angus that Alba's contribution to the cost of the side track well from spudding to first oil shall be capped, for all dry hole costs, at a maximum of GBP187,125, plus a maximum of a further 10 per cent of the AFE (Agreement For Expenditure) to be issued for production/well testing, and Alba shall only be required to fund Brockham joint account costs incurred and cash called thereafter in accordance with its five per cent interest only, and no higher

The Company considers this entry cost to a fully developed and recently producing oilfield to be modest, not least since Alba is able to commence its participation in Brockham on the cusp of an exciting development, namely the drilling of a side-track well via which the Operator expects to be able to recommence production at Brockham.

"where Alba holds 9.75% on free flowing limestones at Brockham"

Really. I thought ALBA had 5% of Brockham!!! They have never tested the limestones at brockham so they can hardly be free flowing IMO.

This is what ALBA have to say

"Alba has an option to farm in to 5% of Production Licence 235 (“PL 235”), which comprises the producing onshore Brockham Oil Field, which is located just to the north-west of the Horse Hill licences. The Brockham Option is a “two for one promote” arrangement, such that if Alba elects to exercise the Brockham Option, it must fund 10% of the cost of the well or side-track (from spudding to first oil) in order to earn its 5% interest. "

Difficult to know who to trust!

Lol, cheers Uxbridgearms, anytime now and on all on the back of a potential big spike in oil prices with Opec and friends all set to cut production....there'll be a stampede for HH players shares where Alba holds 9.75% on free flowing limestones at Brockham, but imagine the interest with oil back to $60 plus plus.....exciting times with undoubted transformational upside potential ahead. :-)

Is that the 14th of October this year it was issued? No wonder we couldn't find it before then.

So much for them having the licence Ho Ho Ho

It is beyond belief that a Waste Management Licence would be held back as price sensitive information.

Facts about Brockham that he will not tell you.

Licence expires in 2017 and will be taken away if they cannot prove field is economical.

This is the well the sidetrack will be drilled from.
Well BR-X4, drilled in 2007, with a 7” casing set and cemented at 692m completed with a 4½” slotted liner.
It was believed that a total of 135m of Unit 4.2 had been penetrated, although the wellbore has passed through the unit on 3 occasions. The first and third sections of Unit 4.2 had oil shows, the middle section had none. The well produced 400 bpd of water. The well has had several workovers, trying to isolate water and to perforate other intervals, but with no real benefits to production. BR-X4 can be produced intermittently, starting with 100% oil and then quickly going to 100% water. There is no certainty on the reservoir sections the wellbore crossed, neither from which part of the well the fluids are produced.

This is the CPR for Brockham
Brockham Field (PL235) 55% 1P 38 2P 45 3P 51
1P reserves are 380,000 barrels of oil

Kimmeridge has not been proven. Only logs are from original well drilled in 1987.

Lol, probably to stifle his negativity with my positivty, although some what tiresome and over the top at times, the basher cohorts can't go unchallenged otherwise their remit and snide agenda to undermine and deter can impact sentiment....they generally go quiet as the share price rises and good news arrives that they claim wasn't likely. We're going to find out very soon who's on the money with the imminent news on Brockham and Greenland. Gl :-)

Oil rallies ahead of OPEC decision on output
01:34

By David Gaffen | NEW YORK

Oil prices rose over 4 percent to a three-week high on Monday, bolstered by growing conviction that major oil producing countries would agree to limit output at a meeting next week.

Brent crude oil briefly touched $49 a barrel. The London benchmark has risen 11 percent in a week since Saudi Arabia, the de facto leader of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, started a diplomatic charm offensive to persuade the group's more reluctant members to join its proposed output plan.

OPEC members are due to agree a world oil freeze pact with non-OPEC countries on

In recent days, several OPEC members including Iran, along with non-member Russia, have suggested they were leaning toward a deal to limit output.

"When you’ve got all of the major players on board with a production cut, obviously you're very close to getting a deal done," said Phil Flynn, senior market analyst at Price Futures Group in Chicago.

The PW 475 was originally booked for the sidetrack in 2014 before plans were shelved. PW Well Services have a work over unit on their books, the PW Moor 400 which is powered by a 475 HP engine, and so maybe the very same work over unit ......i'm not in the slightest concerned about what rig will be used for the sidetrack, only your know it all attitude and derision that follows, when more often than not you're wrong. You definitely think you're an expert, and you have an aversion and phobia on any positive news and developments for the Weald players that might lead to a successful conclusion.....pmsl.......Gla holders OGA approval anytime now imho, and confirmation of sidetrack start date to follow and Greenland update must be close. ......Significant upside more than likely ;-))))

a one of operation (Since a HWU is not designed for drilling operations there were some challenges to overcome)

so where are the details of this PW 475 then?

The majority of us know the difference in drilling operations, but as usual it was the extent of your derision in my suggestion that a work over rig might be used which would be mobile and quick to install and operate as opposed to a full scale drilling rig which was mentioned on Lse, the PW 475 appears to be a work over unit and there are other examples.

They are going to drill a sidetrack, not work it over. You use a drilling rig to drill a well. You use a work over rig to work over a well.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Workover

In Schlumberger we trust

workover
English
1. n. [Drilling]
The repair or stimulation of an existing production well for the purpose of restoring, prolonging or enhancing the production of hydrocarbons.

2. n. [Well Workover and Intervention]
The process of performing major maintenance or remedial treatments on an oil or gas well. In many cases, workover implies the removal and replacement of the production tubing string after the well has been killed and a workover rig has been placed on location. Through-tubing workover operations, using coiled tubing, snubbing or slickline equipment, are routinely conducted to complete treatments or well service activities that avoid a full workover where the tubing is removed. This operation saves considerable time and expense.

drilling rig
English
1. n. [Drilling]
The machine used to drill a wellbore. In onshore operations, the rig includes virtually everything except living quarters. Major components of the rig include the mud tanks, the mud pumps, the derrick or mast, the drawworks, the rotary table or topdrive, the drillstring, the power generation equipment and auxiliary equipment.

And that is ancient history. Moneymunch is getting really desperate with the news now.
SAD
And to think they are talking about the sidetrack they are going to be drilling into the Portland now. It has taken them over two years to decide to actually do it.
And to think it all started in 2013.
Nothing about drilling this year then!
