15/12/2020 08:54 | Peculiar price action to a small institutional sell representing only 1.6% of the company. You'd expect to see such price action on a large insider dump for fear of it being a signal on the valuation of the company. I guess it is somewhat odd to have to place like that with such a small chunk of the company. On balance though, I have bought some as a trading position on this plunge down at 73p. Stop at under the intraday low of 70p. A recovery to at least 80p looks sensible based on what appears to be an overreaction. All imo | sphere25
15/12/2020 08:44 | I'm not too au fait with AAF but just trying to take advantage of a possible Mr Market spasm. Have had these on my watch and thought a good time to dip ones toe :) | thelongandtheshortandthetall
15/12/2020 08:38 | Anyone else think so? All quiet on here! Wakey wakey.... | qs99
15/12/2020 08:38 | Agree. took a little bite :) | thelongandtheshortandthetall
15/12/2020 08:23 | Oversold on back of an insti selling at 80p, 10% above the current SP?! DYOR | qs99
03/12/2020 17:19 | Sorry , No idea. This is a holding that I haven't really looked at that closely since buying. For me it’s (hopefully) a safe, divi paying utility play on African development. A long term hold bought on the cheap. So far so good. | robsy2
03/12/2020 10:15 | This is really cracking on now. Very pleasing. | robsy2
26/11/2020 13:57 | 90p is next target peddlers ;) heading in right direction | paulo435
24/11/2020 11:33 | I’m curious as to how much the sale of the towers is going to raise and if material on the share price here - discussions progressing well ? Good steady share price climbs recently | paulo435
20/11/2020 07:55 | Bodes well all things being equal with 3 vaccines underway, reducing threat in Africa over the coming months and incresing sales. | 2vdm
20/11/2020 07:10 | Back to the IPO price. Let’s see if we can press on from here. | robsy2
11/11/2020 15:56 | Selling of some 4,500 tower assets (to then lease back), in order to reduce debt. No bad thing. | paulo435
11/11/2020 13:49 | Fantastic recent gains - I wouldn’t think all of it is attributed to Covid vaccine and positive sentiment | paulo435
06/11/2020 23:11 | Peddlers, if you are still around, the day you have been waiting for - a close at 66p.! | paulo435
23/10/2020 16:30 | Yes overall the results looked very positive - particularly the mobile banking for me - further growth. One thing i don’t like though and that is in respect of accounts being unaudited. | paulo435
23/10/2020 15:36 | It's down because there's a small crisis in Nigeria. Military killed and injured unarmed protesters. | nigerianprince
23/10/2020 09:56 | I thought the figures were good. typically the share price has dropped, but that often happens when news is out. I agree about paying down debt. If you take the long term view, then there are a lot of positives here.I am less worried than when I first invested and will think about adding.4.7% approx divi is not to be sneezed at. | 2vdm
23/10/2020 09:44 | Results seem ok. They are trading well. The new dividend policy has taken some of the cream off the top for me but I suppose it is sensible to pay down debt. The yield is still 4.7% at 65p so it is fine and i has the scope to rise at some point. Elsewhere we see some legal wranglings going on but not that material and some currency weakness. This is more of a concern with earnings in so many volatile currencies with the earanings expressed in USD but the shares quoted in UK pence. Maybe it all cancels out? I'll hold and await further news and the dividend. | robsy2
19/10/2020 08:42 | Thanks R95. Looking forward to reading. | paulo435

16/10/2020 18:25 | Anyone else raising an eyebrow at the amount of personal fortune non exec Shravin Mittal has invested in Airtel Africa. Since Dec last year it’s at least £20m. Avg purchase price around 79/80p per share. He is the son of the chairman of Bharti Enterprises - - who happen to hold just under 3.5% of the co. Bharti Airtel some 56%. | paulo435
16/10/2020 17:59 | Also, NYASA times, October 10th: “Tax collector, Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA) and Airtel Money have announced a partnership that will enable registered taxpayers to pay their taxes, both Domestic and Customs duties, via Airtel Money.” Good news coverage recently - all adds up. | paulo435
