Santa rally. Bad macro outlook and a portfolio gearing up for commercialisation means that for the next two years ANIC is going to be like the proverbial reed in the wind when it comes to share price. Im in ANIC and happy to stay for 20 years, there is currently zero competition. But if I was looking for a quick six month win I would go elsewhere, the share price will go where the macro tells it to for the next couple of years.

i took anic off my watchlist for a while, so missed the movement from 9p to 13p. What was behind that?

I do agree that it is a frustration and I've written off the likelihood as a non starter. I think also to underline a share buyback as demonstrative of inaction is a complete non starter. Lots of things are happening.Liberation Labs are building a factory, BluNalu has a stellar board and contracts with all big fishing commercial outlets in Asia and I recommend you watch the Meqtly capital markets day presentation, they are progressing to commercialisation with rapidity.Investing in ANIC is the definition of a long term play. And whilst AIM remains the least loved child of the world's stock market downward pressure on the share price will be sustained. Nothing material has changed with the timelines for ANICs portfolio companies. As tempting as it can be to lean on a share buyback deadline as definitive I think focus on the companies operating under the fund will give us a greater degree of certainty on the share price trajectory.

Five months into the six month Share BuyBack Program and still zero purchases.

One month to go to see if the gentleman's saying of "Dictum meum Pactum" will prevail.

It's actions - not words- that count.

Macro: high interest rates, inflation, geo political instability. ANIC are 'about to' send some companies to the market, next year.Interest rates on savings accounts are still good. At the moment, it is safety first. There is no chance in my view of a share price revival until next year when the market gets to see the first green shoots of income. You only have to look at AIM. It has been a spiral downwards for over two years.

ANICs BlueNalu accepted into USs influential National Fisheries Institute. Without not so much a whisper of dissent for the hard leaning right lobbyists. https://cultivated-x.com/seafood/bluenalu-becomes-first-cell-cultured-seafood-company-enter-national-fisheries-institute/BlueNalu will be the first cell ag. fish to hit the market at scale in 2025 with MOUs with huge companies like Mitsubishi and PIF money and board presence.

First time back here for a while. Because I read about the demise of many no meat restaurants and eateries. On the other hand, Huel seems to be going well. Why is the share price performance so poor here. With NAV barely above the share price according to ADVFN. What's wrong?

Big news in precision fermentation. Non ANIC but if any precision fermentation company wants to upscale, there is currently only one factory being built on the planet. This is massive for Liberation Labshttps://www.greenqueen.com.hk/unilever-breyers-lactose-free-ice-cream-perfect-day-precision-fermentation/

Non ANIC https://www.greenqueen.com.hk/vivici-precision-fermentation-whey-regulatory-approval-fda-gras/Precision fermentation will be the aspect of the ANIC portfolio that blows first. And because it is a process that has been used by big pharma companies since the 70s you are less likely to see lacklustre right spending their donors cash on fighting legislation.

Total hack job probably funded by some conservative republican pro meat think tank. While the author mentions the climate crisis, they skimmed over how much intensive animal farming contributes to global warming and simply attacked the cell- ag industry for not getting things into the marketplace at affordable prices yet.

Looking like Japan is gearing up to follow Singapore and legislate on cellular agriculture. Considering the recent government noise and Mitsubishi signing an MOU woth BlueNalu (going commercial in early 2025). And now this survey indicating that 42% would try cultured food. Added to fhe fact that CellX (China), Liberation Labs (US), Mosa (Nederlands/Singapore), are all turning on the machines in their factories in early 2025, we have another 10 months of discount on the share price to enjoy.https://cultivated-x.com/studies-numbers/new-report-42-japanese-consumers-would-try-cultivated-meat-58-cell-based-foods/

Ah interesting, I didnt know he was a novelist. But the article is entirely an opinion piece in tone and content so it doesnt really pose as an insightful critique.I think, moreover the fact that the author leans so spectacularly into lab meat underlines the progress, which as you note has been spectacular. Yet, there is still some way to go. From an ANIC perspective when it comes to lab meat Mosa is primed to get approval in Singapore by the end of the year and I think the CellX factory is planned to be opened in early 2025.
