i think everything in Guinea is on hold at the moment.
BHP have pulled out and it all seems to have slowed down considerably
over there which is a real shame.

If Conakry is not a priority for AGTA (as the Count's recent correspondence with the company appears to indicate), could they not farm out all or part of this interest to another party, and possibly receive a bit more cash to put towards the core business? Bollore's Africa Logistics arm springs to mind as one who have a Conakry connection and may wish to expand there. Surely better than sitting on it and doing nothing?

Only 50k shares(about £1300)
Still watching really but have been playing this game for quite a time now and I think that this is a really good play (Africa is a worry).No debt, cash in hand, well funded, investment in infrastructure and vertically integrated.Also Africa is waking. If things work as hoped I expect to add quite soon. I have read a lot but maybe you old hands can educate me loads.

Seems to me that there has been a lot more buys than sells most days yet they still take it down.Loads more buys again today and down a whopping 7.3%???? What am I missing?

After watching for a while decided to buy in at this price.I doubt my tranche will move the share price though!

These stocks will be allowed in ISAs later in the year, that will attract new money no doubt, so let's hope some of it finds it's way here. In the meantime a great opportunity to build a decent holding. AIMHO as always.

emmm
seems a lot of african assets getting sold off over the last few weeks.
certain BHP GABON doesnt help.
i guess on going issues with Guinea and of course an election in Kenya that did go as smoothly as some hoped.
anyway.
also success with the major indexes and big name stocks.
certainly small companies like this are being over looked by the people that matter. i.e the funds.
very frustrating.
hopefully will turn around
..

I have added at 2.85p.

Bit risky as what I perceive as happening the share price goes down; PIs like me and other investors buy more expecting to have a bargain but then
the share price falls again.

I suppose that the share price fall has to stop sometime...

A key development during the year was the construction and completion of a 48 billion litre dam with capacity to irrigate in excess of 4,000 hectares. The construction of the Group's dam, which was delivered on budget and on schedule, is a demonstration of the Company's ability to execute large scale infrastructure projects to facilitate rapid expansion. In addition, as part of the Company's Social Responsibility and Uplift Programme,
two million tilapia fingerlings have been released into the reservoir by the Governor of the Manica Province. A further 1.75 million fingerlings are planned over the next six months and a fishing co-operative with the local community will be established. The Group will provide the local community with a small boat and gill nets to catch fish for themselves in addition to catching additional fish for sale back to the Group for inclusion in animal feed.
