CMC. Will the company ever get the money owed to it by the South Sudan government or has it gone into some politician's pocket?

•In July, the Company reported that the Sabisa-1 well on the South Omo Block in Ethiopia, the most northerly well drilled on the Tertiary rift trend to date, had confirmed a viable hydrocarbon system with oil and heavy gas shows. Based on the encouragement of the results, the decision was made to drill the Tultule-1 as the next well on the South Omo Block. This well is expected to spud around the end August.

I asked the question earlier but no reply, can anyone tell me if this is traded elsewhere (other than aim) as it seems we get very few trades if any on a day, it seems the bid is continually stuck at 2.2p?

I have not heard anything back yet, while I wait I have completed a quick review of the maize business, the corn pricing environment is pretty positive and should hopefully be reflected in the bottom line of the DECA & Compagri division. In the June 2013 rns we were informed that the achieved average price of US$432.96 per tonne, which compares to the current price of CBOT Corn USd/bu. 488.00, so the current price is 56 US$ higher and 75 US$ higher than the 2012 price per bushel. Not saying the current prices will hold but the pricing environment does look positive and as I say hopefully will be reflected in the bottom line.

MC PEAT OCTOBER 2012 REPORT

Our assumptions and estimates for the grain business (P.63);

(i) We have assumed that the price achieved in selling the milled grain will be higher than last year's average of US$414/tonne (for FY'12). We have assumed a 3% increase in US$ terms to US$427/tonne for FY'13.

(iv) We have not assumed any change in the export position of the Zimbabwe market, ie we expect this market will remain closed. If this market did reopen then we would expect demand could increase by a further 5K tonnes pa, which could be sold for circa $440/tonne and improve profits by about $1.0m. This and harvest conditions would be the biggest factors affecting the profit outlook for the business over the next few years.

(viii) Because we have assumed a normal harvest in 2013, it follows that the demand for milled grain in FY'14 is likely to be lower than in FY'13. We have assumed demand falls by about 5% to 28.5K tonnes of milled grain. We have also assumed that prices fall by about 4% to $409/tonne. Thereafter we have assumed flat demand and price increases in US$ terms of about 4% pa.

CURRENT CORN/MAIZE PRICES

CBOT Corn USd/bu. 488.00

JUNE 11TH RNS OPERATIONS UPDATE

- Positive pricing environment for maize meal - achieved average price of US$432.96 per tonne (2012: US$413.80)
