28/12/2014 12:57 | I'm not worried about Ebola and neither are the BOD. What we need are new drivers other than China to influence positive Steel demand. Some interesting reading below:-If AMI can survive another year or two then iron ore will get a lot more rosy as Indian growth becomes more apparent. Also encouraged by the likes of Arcelor & Posco focusing on Electric Car Steel supply as another driver in demand. (Articles below)--Let's hope Shandong take a similar viewpoint to the EV automotive sector. | seanywauny
28/12/2014 12:38 | Well said EW.... | stockriser
28/12/2014 12:35 | Did I say it was not highly infectious!! Of course Ebola is highly infectious, but it is not very contagious at all. You need to understand the difference between infectious and contagious. The media hyped ebola, there was talk of deaths doubling every week - has that happened? - NO. | stockriser
28/12/2014 12:27 | Make no mistake, Ebola is a killer and must be taken deadly seriously, but the graph above illustrates graphically where the disease stands in relation to other causes of death in Africa. Hysterical responses to the virus do nothing to help combat it; indeed education is the key to rational and efficient control of the epidemic. The same applies as regards AML and Tonkolili, and it is encouraging to note that the Company has taken measured and timely steps to safeguard its workforce as far as is possible. The nature and force of all epidemics changes over time and the same will happen with Ebola; already there are encouraging signs in Liberia and Guinea that the spread of the virus is slowing. It is only a matter of time before the same thing happens in SL. Personally I do not see Ebola as being anything more than a short-term threat to AML, and therefore as regards the present negotiations, I do not expect it that plays a significant part in long-term financial considerations, tragic though the consequences of the epidemic are for some. | earnestwipplethwaiteiii
28/12/2014 10:33 | Putting iron ore price aside, Ebola should not really be affecting AMI! | stockriser
25/12/2014 22:43 | Have to say cant, I really do not understand that post. Have a great Christmas anyway | kirk 6
25/12/2014 21:26 | Happy xmas not on ami or us holders freight rates have dropped dramatically and substantially over the past month according to some reports I can see why ami bod are fighting for survival and could even make a profit their transport rates to china are a significant cost to the c1 burden with this reduced and oil im glad they are fighting on percentage terms as there is more potential than any pi thinks prior to admin | cantrememberthis2
25/12/2014 14:39 | Would appear to be after the meetings | newswseller
24/12/2014 18:08 | Thanks newsletter that sounds encouraging | kirk 6
24/12/2014 17:38 | newswseller - any time stamp on that email? It's important to know when it was sent, before last week's HK meeting or since? If since then clearly the problems between the parties have not been resolved yet, but they are still talking at least. | earnestwipplethwaiteiii
24/12/2014 17:33 | Talks continue between the major shareholders of African Minerals in an effort to resolve the issues that exist between the parties. Meetings have been held and continue to occur aimed at securing a remedy so that operations can restart in the New Year. Unfortunately, I must also advise you that the Ebola outbreak in Sierra Leone is still a serious concern and stage 4 of the Company's Ebola protocol remains in place. Any restart of operations will require consideration of the protocols to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all employeesInternal email, from the guy that posted the other internal one regarding stage 4 | newswseller
24/12/2014 14:34 | I admire your optimistic view. Bit I have never seen a company come out of suspension and share holders being ok. We have had the perfect storm. | shimmysham12
24/12/2014 14:09 | In addition they where close to achieving profitability even with current IO price at 70. Expect the price to open a lot higher than 10p if a deal with the Chinease is struck. Along with this will be a new LOND railway deal. | kirk 6
24/12/2014 14:07 | I don't think iron ore prices will fall anymore in 2015. It's likely the price will rebound next year and if AMI can agree a deal to see them through then the company will survive. | kirk 6
24/12/2014 13:50 | I have lost similar amount. Admin look likely after Xmas. I recon 10% chance of survival, even that will leave u with estimate 1p pet share at best. Io price due to drop further in New year. There is no way this will ever trade again, right company wrong time. Timis and board will be ok tho. | shimmysham12
24/12/2014 12:53 | Christmas cheer as always. I've lost about 8k on this, considering it lost at this point. All sorts of complications such as debt repayments, no improvement in the IO price, etc. So Shandong probably ocnsider releasing the cash a waste of time at this point as it will get burnt off very quickly. This is an important company for Sierra Leone and Africa. I would therefor expect some eligibility for World Bank or other development bank funding to tide this through. Game not over but consider the value zero at this point. | broncowarrior
23/12/2014 12:25 | Surely it's you that need the life wasting your time on here with supposedly no interest. The reason I am here is I have over 500k shares and I am sure earesnt has a holding as well. | kirk 6
23/12/2014 11:42 | Happy Xmas earne hope u get the life u desperately need for Xmas. | shimmysham12
23/12/2014 09:59 | kirk - there is nothing else to do and Sh*tty knows that very well. He's just a little wind-up maggot that enjoys other people's discomfort. Karma will get him in time. Watch out for dark alleys, Sh*tty. | earnestwipplethwaiteiii
23/12/2014 09:08 | I'm hanging on till the company make an statement what else is there to do? The facts are the latest statements with the addition the Chinese will realise 500m from the article 2 weeks ago. They company has refuted claims of administration as yet. | kirk 6
23/12/2014 09:05 | Hmmm.suspended stock, no money, Io price falling and c&m. Ur right its obviously gonna all come good. Sorry for making a conclusion based on the known facts. U hang on to your bit of hope. The rest of us know the result. Muppet. | shimmysham12
23/12/2014 08:54 | Sh*tty, go and change your diapers, there's a good lad. The smell is becoming overpowering. | earnestwipplethwaiteiii |
