Looking at both this forum and the lse it is obvious t there is only one outcome here

A deal would have been done by now. Admin after Xmas.

No other outcome, if you think different you will be disappointed.

You can slate me but you all know where it's heading.

kirk - read the Other Thread: the email was sent to one poster, who then forwarded it to others. I have no reason to doubt it was genuine. All it said was that AW told him that there was a meeting in HK from Thurs to Sat last taking place between AML, SISG and the latter's bank, to try to thrash out a deal.

No subsequent news as yet.

There was evidence in the form of an email sent to quite a few supposedly it tho I am skeptical of the email. But it ties in the the 500m deal speculation last week with the Chinease

Oh Sh*tty, I thought you'd gone to change your industrial-strength adult nappies now that your short is almost certainly going to lead you to a second straight, ocean-going loss, just as with LOND.
If you need a couple of Pounds to tide you over Xmas, go to the Salvation Army; I certainly won't be helping you this Yuletide.

Pip pip!

Might be wishful thinking but I like to think that Frank wants to get some sort of deal done in HK to take the weight of this off his shoulders for Xmas.Interesting move by the WA government by the way.-If indeed the majors are looking to force out the smaller juniors then a spanner is being thrown into the works of their plan here. In Oz at least anyway.Rio, Vale etc can only continue this process of self cannibalisation for so long to the detriment of their own shareholders as well as the directors own holdings.

I guess that's an arbitrary date - the end of the week four weeks tomorrow - I don't think they could possibly have based it on any information from AMI.

The supplier of AMI that went into suspension has provided another update today:

They will remain in suspension pending receiving info from AMI and expect to remain suspended until 16th January 2015.

Fishy, the best we can hope for is that this is a meeting to dot the Is and cross the Ts, but since it's scheduled for up to three days, that's unlikely. It's more likely a thrashing out of differences to see if they can find common ground. Under the circumstances, I'd judge we'll be lucky to get any news this week unless there's an unexpected breakthrough. Possibly next week, but it could also end with nothing decided at all.

As for the Other Board, I'm certainly not telling.
Go on, take a peek, you know you want to.

Can somebody keep me informed if anything decent is said over on the other board...early NY resolution not to read it! Too many loons!

Thanks and hopefully a successful meeting is taking place today....

If AMI can end up with a 45% stake at the end of this process with SISG that could be regarded as a decent interest in a 12bnt reserve.

Fingers crossed they can do this, controlling stake possibly gone to SSIG but in this marktet hey ho!

The million $ question....all is pure guess work. I prefer to let the BOD do their best for us. 45% left for us would be a result...

what would you speculate the terms of the deal to be though? That's the concern I have. However if a respectable deal is struck then we could be looking at a large premium to the current suspended share price

I tend to not read that board as the highs and lows are too extreme for me! That said this email looks the real deal..this is the most confident I've been on a deal happening...

Good news over on the other board I guess but why has it taken so long for them to all get round the same table...big stakes at play here but the main players appear to be acting like spoilt children!!
