They produced more in Oct/Nov than in the whole of Q1, ACU are increasing production month on month and have a long way to go, they want to produce 20k tonnes p/a from Mowena alone, they are now producing from Thakuda, and exploring other prospective areas.
I consider ACU to be the most undervalued copper play out there.
Value will out in the end.

OUTSOURCER. Perhaps you could try smaller lots...100k or 50k. It still seems to be heading down, and it may seem daft but you may be able to buy back cheaper, as at some point it may pick up again, thereby reducing your average.

OUTSOURCER. I got out a few days ago. Had enough of it dragging along. Took a small loss but the money better used elsewhere. Hope the share price picks up to give you an exit. Best of luck.

ACU is in effect a highly geared gamble on copper prices remaining high over the next few years. I would think ZCI will offload some of its shares on IIs when they feel the time is right .. until they do the share is relatively illiquid and this may in effect lead to an undervaluation

I'm not trying to make any capital out of the horrific floods in Aussie. Most of their copper mines are in the north of the state I think, whereas most of the flooding is in the south/south-east. Still....

She said waters that have flooded dozens of mines and closed railways and ports would send coal and steel prices soaring, adding that the state produces about half of the world's coking coal used to make steel.

Given the news on Thanet licence plus thus forecast cu prices, we should be much higher than the meagre 6p Mark... We started 2011 at exactly the same price we started 2010 with..... Has there really been zero progress in 12 months? NO!

this article is from 2004

on of the paragraphs says it costs ACU $0.62lb to to mine compared to the current price of copper of $1.40lb, today copper is around $4.40lb, so what am I missing.

Yes, bit strange OUTSOURCER. But then there's something strange about this Co! Only ZCI & Brad Kipp named as shareholders with 82%. You'd think someone else would own over 3%. None of the directors do. All a bit odd!

I noticed this in a report on a LLOY bb:

And metals. Copper is expected to hit $10000 a tonne - it was $3000 two years ago. RIO and BHP are the players and beneficiaries.Base metals are useful - precious metals aren't although the appetite for gold still is out there. I think largely because of ETF's.

This report is from 2005, how much do the figures mentioned still hold true, when copper prices bombed, they stopped mining so I guess the copper must still be there to mine

I know bu99er all about charting but anybody can see this is a strong positive signal, coupled with the lift we had early December. Sitting tight here.

I've been nearly 40% down on this in the past so its nice to log on and not be depressed. My SKR is looking after me well at the moment though. Patience is the name of the game.
