NB... Totally agree, however, PI's will not get a look in, according to AGM, so where funding will come from is guess work...

Chloro-alkali industry uses 1% of worlds electricity production, if they can get some traction there, we could be looking at a billion $ market.....sorry must be dreaming again.

Alkali fuel cells: are the wilderness years at an end?

Wherever there is surplus hydrogen, eg in the chlor-alkali industry, which is a major producer of H2, or at waste-to-energy gasification plants, where it can be extracted from the syngas, there is the possibility of generating carbon-free electricity from alkali fuel cells and helping reduce power costs. UK-based AFC Energy is working towards commercial projects in this area. In the longer term it believes its technology could be scaled up significantly and one day be competitive with conventional power plants.

Im not destroying a company you plonker... Even if i didnt have a short bet the company would still be out of cash and plumping private investors up for a dilution.

News can affect share price but running out of cash affects it more ;-)

AFC Energy plc (LON:AFC) shares would have to rocket 350% to hit the valuation placed on it by a leading growth company specialist.

Broker Cantor Fitzgerald restated its 77p price target after the company updated on its progress with its breakthrough fuel cell technology.

The stock advanced 20% to 22.15p after investors heard AFC had completed the developed Generation 2 of its KORE system.

In doing so it has ticked off two strategic milestones.

The new KORE system has an extended the stack life and increased the time the system is able to generate power.

Commercially, the most significant improvement is Gen2’s ability to accept lower grade hydrogen.

In doing this it widens the potential sources of fuel, lowering input costs but also increasing the potential addressable market.

“This means that it can operate using the output of chlor-alkali plants without any additional clean up."

“This in turn widens the opportunity set for AFC and makes its product more attractive to the chemical industry in our view.”

AFC’s KORE system has been designed to take waste hydrogen that might, for example, be created at large chemical plants and turn it into electricity.

In fact the latest iteration is being tested at Air Products’ industrial gas facility in Stade, Germany, as well as the company’s own site at Dunsfold, Surrey."

Check the history I made c 50 percent last I shorted AFC and I expect I'll make the same again when the company dilutes at 12p within the next couple months.

This is another reason that there was a vote to close out shareholders participation in any future fund raise.When Mr Shvidler and Mitchell Field put their money in last December the company were obliged to offer shareholders the opportunity to invest at the same level.This will no longer be an unnecessary distraction now if any further short term funding is needed to get AFC across the finish line...

Good luck to you as well...What I don't understand is how these fella's can't grasp the fact that Eugene Shvidler (Billionaire friend of Abramovich and fellow AFC investor) will continue to support the company if required in this transition from R&D to commercial contracts.He put in £400,000 last December in return for shares when the fuel cell stack wasn't ready.Here we are today close to commercial deals and the usual suspects are crying "fund raise imminent" they should've closed their short positions back in July at 14p

Mate you are either a paid ramper or delirious.

EVEN if this company had a product is could sell and actually generated revenus it'd not get near 77p ie a market cap of c. £210m.

The company is burning cash prodigiously and has a coupel months left at best of cash.

Dilution is imminent if not already underway on the back of the latest ramp.

Target dilution at 12p (mkt cap c. £40m) and i'm being generous
